Well that week wasn’t so bad.  I lost about 4 lbs laying off carbs and downing tons of water.  I imagine that number is high because I still weigh a lot, but it makes me hopeful as I’m now hovering over 280.

Almost time to break into 275 like I was 5 years ago, but with more muscle.  I’m halfway to my ideal weight and feel pretty good.  I just have to keep reminding myself that nutrition is more than half the battle.  The weights and cardio are the icing on the low-fat cake.

Ok, here I go:

 My bench press has increased from 135lbs a silly amount of times in January to 245lbs once.  I’m going for 255 once next week.  I’m a step closer to benching my weight in pounds, so that makes me happy.

My bench press is low (for my height, weight, and size) because of years of crappy form and generally not caring, until now.  So I’d say a 120lb jump is pretty nice, compared to nothing.

Squatting hasn’t been too productive since I’ve been taking it easy on my shitty knee.  Last I checked, I did 315×2, but I’ve done 405×2 in the past.  I’ll get that back too.

 Not sure where I’m at deadlifting b/c I held off until I got a weightbelt, but I know I can do maybe 315 once….I hope.

I put on 5lbs of muscle this past month which is cool, but my fat/weight loss has kind of staggered.  I’ve since been on a ‘diet’ consisting of no cheating, moderate protein and low carbs.  I’ll see how that goes for a week before I decide to stick to it.  Better get back to work now!
