Well, I am back from 4th of July weekend and ready to rock and roll.
I have been doing a lot of research the past few years on clean eating, on "raw" eating, on vegetarian eating, etc. The book I am using as my "bible" so to speak, is by Dr. Don Colbert and it is called "The Seven Pillars of Health". What a great book! I shall buy only organic from now on. In fact, that is what I have filled my fridge with. I am kicking off my plan with something I intend to do once a year: a 2 week fruit and vegetable detox along with the supplements to go with it. Also lots of water. I am going to have protein shakes as well and smoothies that I make from fresh fruit. The idea is to start cleansing my body of all of the crap I have been putting into it. I will still consume the same amount of calories that I am aiming for each day so that once I start re-feeding my body with grains and organic meats, I won’t just gain back any weight I may lose while cleansing.

I will set my log up tonight of tomorrow’s food and exercise and what my beginning stats are. I plan to recheck weight and measures once a week.

I look forward to working together with all of you!

My profile picture is my goal picture. I am sure most people put up their current photo, but this photo is of me when I was at a weight I want to be again. It is motivating for me to see it there every day. I will post pictures as well under progress when I get some taken.

This is a short post as we are headed out to fireworks but I will post more tonight.
