Two days

Yesterday was legs… After going three weeks without legs… it was a routine, I really enjoyed.  I love the feeling of knowing that I burned my legs to the extreme the next day, when I try to climb the stairs.

Today, I did back with 3 sets of deadlifts.  I must admit getting back to working on more than just chest is a mandatory thing.  especially if I want to see results.

Feeling really good!

Long May

May went by and I didn’t gain… because I failed in the kitchen.  My daily protein count is way below the goal of 262g per day.

This month’s goal is to get my protein count up to 200+g per day.

Adding Cardio back into my routine…

I laid off Cardio during the holidays just to add some mass on my chest / shoulders.

Now, I’ve started adding Cardio back to my routine and I’m glad I have.  I’ve kinda missed it.

My cardio is done after my workout… and typically is short.
But it’s worth it.  I do feel that I have some added fat around my abs that I need to cut. So those short cardio sessions are gonna go longer for the next 4 - 6 weeks.

What I do for cardio? - 3 days a week
bicycle
Treadmill
Cross-Trainer
Dancing - once a week.  I usually do this around the house, most clubs in Houston only spin hip hop and you can’t really dance to that.  So I go online and find some Breakbeats, progressive house to move to for an hour or so.

Also at work, I’ve been getting up and walking more.  I have a desk just and I don’t wanna end up like my dad and brother with big guts and little skinny bodies

I hope to keep chugging down protein all they way through April… along with increasing the cardio to inch my 32" waist back down to 29.5"

Here’s to improving my V-shape.

Leg Day - All most passed out

It was the 1st time I tried doing Arms and Legs on the same day.

I won’t do that again…

Leg Press, DB curls, Leg Ext, Leg Curl, Tricep Pushdown, Bicep cable curls, were hard.

Tried to do some BarBell Lunges but after the 1st rep I had to get rescued by my spotter.  I almost tipped over.

Legs and shoulders - lots of talkers at the gym tonight.

Really busy at the gym for a Thursday night.

I wanted to start with shoulders but the dumbbell rack was busy!

Good thing though, at my gym, no one seems to work legs… so the Hack Squat was wide open.

New Week New Workout

Sunday, January 20th, 2008

Yesterday was a Leg (heavy) and shoulder workout:
Leg Ext
Leg Curl
Seated Calf Raises
Squat
Leg Press
DB Military Press (seated) shoulders
Lateral Raises (standing)
Front DB Raises
Hack Squat

Today - my workout partner couldn’t make it in for our usual chest workout.
So I did a circuit (abs, chest, back) and spent 15 mins walking the treadmill.
Leg Raises 3 sets, 15 reps
Crunches 4 sets, 25 reps
DB Incline Press 3 sets, 15 reps - - light (I’m doing chest tomorrow)
Cable Cross 3 sets, 20 reps - - light
Hammer* machine Iso Lat Row 3 sets, 10 reps
Low Row 3 sets, 12 reps

After this I hit the sauna for 6 mins… didn’t get the sweat I’m used too.  I guess I need to up my water intake.

Tomorrow I hope to do my heavy full on chest workout.
