dips for beginers

I’ve been going to the gym wiht my friend jerry for about 3 years now, on and off. He’s been my trainer/ workout buddy since we got deployed 3 years ago.We know what works for us and we motivate each other, we don’t usually work together we just go togehter and he does his thing and i do mine. I mean there has been times when I’ve asked him if I can work out with him and and i usually pick up a thing or two from him. Take for example yesteday’s workout. I hadn’t worked out with him in like 8 months or so…even though we go together to the gym all the time, I usually do my spinning class and he goes straight to the weight room. So anyhow I had been telling him that I really wanted to get into doing pullups and dips again that I wanted to work on my upper body. but I guess he was just blowing me off, I don’t know why since we used to do dips and pull ups together not to long ago.  But the point I’m trying to get to is that he surprised me yesterday with a chest workout that included dips, and now my hands are sore as shit thanks to his workout, Thanks Jerry your the bestest! But I think since I want to focus on strengthning my upper body I will definately start doing some of the excersises that we did yesteday. He showed me how to use each machine properly and what muslce group I’m working. Hey who needs a trainer when you have a friend who know what their doing. Besides true friends will help you when you need them.  Anyhow I think I will start using these machines like the butterfly machine, and the seated dips, and other machines that work the chest. I guess if i want to strenghten my arms and start doing pull ups and dips I have to strenghten my upper body. But overall it was a good workout, too bad my friend Harmony didn’t show up.. oh well atlest I learned a thing or two.
