Nothing new going on with my routine still doing the bike, running and weights.. I’m happy with my progress so far I can see my calf muscles, and my inner thighs are much firmer as well.

 Chunky from behind thin from the front..I don’t have a complex issue its just that i don’t want to have the junk in the trunk all my life.. I want to eat better and feed my body the right way..I guess i am the typical woman never satisfied always wanting to look prettier and better than everyone else. It doens’t help that i have been thin and very active all my life. I never had a need to eat healthy,that is until now that im in my mid 20’s..  I don’t know how it happened i guess it just crept up on me.. the cellulite, its embarrasing i can’t even wear a bathing suit, let alone short shorts :( The only way to get rid of it is to do alot of cardio and eat healthy..I do cardio just not  the other.  I have been reading on nutrition, since i don’t know much about it and i feel i should know more about the subject.  The last few weeks i have been eating less of the bad carbs and eating more low glycemic foods. I’m not sure how that will go I only know how to cook mexican food. :(

Reading someone else’s blog made me realize that i am hungry and i need to feed my body as well.  I am thankful that its almost lunchtime.. I don’t know what i am going to eat as of now but it better be good. Maybe a subway sandwich, that sounds hella good.

My workout routine has consisted of running every other day and doing weights for my lower body. I am recovering from my elbow surgery so i can’t work on upper body. I feel great on my runs and as a result. I am currently running 4 1/2 miles every other day. My motivation is firming my lower body and possibly running a marathon this summer. My elbow is doing better post recovery. No weight training for me just yet, in the summer for sure.

So yeah i’m upto 4 1/2 miles and I’m really excited about that. I know that i need to start eating more everyday and eating more carbs and pasta. Because rite now im still in the office and i’m really hungry.. I feel like my insides are tearing my stomach apart…gggrr.. Ok.. im a take off now.. I have a busy day ahead of me.

 My arm is doing much better i’m hoping to take this thing off by my next doctors appt which is on the 7 of january. Well at least that’s what i’m hoping for i mean i can move my arm now. I’ve been streching my arm (doing bicep curls) trying to get the full range of motion back in my arm  by doc orders of course.  I’ve been taking care of the incisition putting on neosporin and aloe vera, so hopefully i dont get a nasty scar. I’m still walking my dog every other day and i have been going to gym twice a week to do legs.  Its kinda hard to stay motivated and eat clean when you have a broken arm, so i’ve been eating whatever, i figure i can run it off later. Nothing else going on except studying for my Ace test.  I found this forum if anyone is interested.

I had surgery…

My skating injury turned out even worse, after i went to my orthopedic apptment i was told i would have to have surgery to help my  broken radial bone, my tendons had caused my bones to separate. Scary stuff, i had the surgery on tuesday and everything came out fine.  since then i’ve been pretty much drugged up all the time and have been sleeping,i dont have energy to do anything except sleep…. I just have to rest and that’s hard for me to do.  I’m getting really bitchy i’m tired of not being able to do things by myself and I hate having to depend on others.  i’m trying to stay positive i guess the only good thing from this whole ordeal is that i have the time to study for my ACE, and involving my self internally with the derby team.

i hope everyone enjoyed their thansgiving i mostly slept while i was at my brothers and slept the next day at my mom’s..hey atleast i’m eating and getting the rest i need. I’m starting to feel way better, i’m hoping to lay off the pills asap, in the meantime i have to admit i’m indulging in foods i havent ate in a long time, but i’m not overdoing it either. Today i decided to go for walk but i was too tired and weak i had to return back. well i guess i’ll wait a few more days and start on my plan to walk 2miles a day and do a modified leg workout. if anyone has any suggestions of things i can do to work out let me know..

A few of my derby teammates and i decided to go to roller land last nite and skate for fun .. well it was suppose to be fun nite, that is until i decided to be a bad ass and  go full speed to show my moves. well that little careless idea ended up costing me a trip to the e.r. As a result I ended up braking my elbow… note to self and others always wear elbow pads when skating they can prevent broken bones.

so now i’m broke cant work out or cant play derby.. this is going to suck big time!!! i’m hoping to get better in a month, i don’t know if this is possible. I’m wondering though iof i can work my legs in the meantime?? does anybody know any leg exercises i can do without comproming my broken arm??

I had a great time at the compettion..I went to both the prejuding and the judging.. those tickets were pricey let me tell you.. i’m glad we got the military discount!! hhehe. We had good seeting during the prejudging I was going crazy taking pictures.. I must admit too much eye candy for one day.. But i did manage to take pictures  and video, so that was cool.. during intermission we went outside to look at the booths and I chatted up a conversation w/ some contestatns that came from sweeden to compete, one of them was a female bodybuilder. They gve me some great tips on how to work out the hamstrings.. I thought that was cool. Prejudging seemed like it took forever it went past 1pm and i was so hungry. Then off we went to some mexican store and had some mexican food..Yummy!! THen we went to the mall and did some shoppping.. heeh i got my halloween accesories already!! And then it was off to the show again. THis time we had crappy seats and tt was a full house, The judging part was fun, although I was kind put off by some of the songs the guys used for their routine..I must say my favorite part of the competition was seeing the guys flexing during their routines.. that was cool!!  the guys put on a good show though..  During the judging intermission I was able to take 2 pictures and my camera died. Damn!! i wish i could of taken more pics.. But i did manage to take a pic with this bodybuilder guy who was from was from the same town we were from. Oh yeah my default pic now..  We didn’t stay till the end but it was fun.. AFter going to the competition I can see myself doing something like that sometime later in the future…. I just have to watch my diet, and work on my backside and shoulders.. Hmm well see.  anyhow here’s some pics  if anyone is interested..

I have a stretch question?

Stretching..

So i joined the roller derby team, and one of the stretches we do as part of our warm up and cool down is called the "porn star stretch" Yeah.. I kid you not. I was like what the freak. did i somehow end up somewhere else..I thought i came here to skate. Being the fitness fanatic that i am,  I proceeded to inquire what muscles we were supposed to be stretching? fair question right?  the girl who was leading the stretches responded with, "it stretches the quads, and inner thighs" i don’t thinkt that she knew what she was talking about so i thought I’d ask here if anybody knew if laying doggystyle was an actual stretch…. ( did i just say that) I’m not trying to be nasty but I’m curious to see if this "porn start stretch" is in fact an actual stretch and what muscles does it actually stretch.

Please do not respond with vulgarities..  And if you have any suggestions on stretches for a warm up or cool down for roller blading they will be very welcomed..thanks.
