Now I may come across as Ignorant, arrogant, vain, (and for sure bad at spelling), or all three but sincerely, Im not, at least not the first two.. People gain weight due to medical reasons, stress, illness and many other reasons, Im not talking about these people, My question is about CHOICE.

Ok, so, Ive been on holiday for the past week or so, to Mallorca. Now, I decided to take a week off from training and just enjoy the Island and beach. I was on a half board bases, meaning I ate, at least one meal, out which was great cos luckily I found some awesome places where quantity didnt mean lack of quality. (My gf often says I eat like a truck driver whatever thats supposed to mean, saying if they gave me a plate of chicken breats Id be happy with that… which I would be lol, but these places went that little extra, huge cuts of salmon for example, baked with orange and pepper in some kind of leaves)

Heres my point. I cant be bothered to bake things in leaves at home, which is where the hotel buffet comes in. About the only thing worth eating at breakfast were the boiled eggs and ham, of which I had plenty. One guy I saw amazed me by his choice, he was skinny with a beer/cake/chocolate belly. I noticed his plump gf first with a plate loaded and I mean loaded with croissants (however you spell it), and cake but then he sat down with nothing more than a plate of cream. He´d filled a cup with cream meant to be added to your coffee, and emptied it onto his plate and started happily digging into it. I was surprised but each to their own I thought.

Then came the evening dinner, the selection here was good. As I sat with my plate loaded with chicken and veg, and again, I mean loaded, an overweight woman scowled at my food then me, as she slowly waded past, and that was nothing compared to the look I got as I went for seconds and loaded up with more chicken and veg.

I really do have an each to their own ´policy´, fat, thin, obese, whatever, if your happy its your choice but if theres one place in the world where even the least body concious larger person on earth must feel even a little out of shape its the beach. This is what I dont get. After that first day I became curious and started paying a little attention to other peoples plates, especially noticing the previous scowling womans plate as she seemed to have taken an instant disliking to me based on my large plates of eggs/chicken/beef/veg. Each day she´d waddle down, clearly not happy that others were eating seemingly huge ammounts of food, and select a moderate sized plate of chunky chips and cover them with mayo. (There was another, boarder line plump fat, younger girl, mid 20s, who one day balanced an Eiffle tower of chips on her plate before adding two spoons of cream, yep the coffee cream!) People must notice when theyre carrying more weight thans healthy for them so why choose chips and mayo or cream over one of the many healthier options? I just dont get it.

As a side note, I missed out vain in my intro. Thats because Ive come to realise I am, if not a little, vain. Im not particularily happy and for sure not proud of any part of my body, I feel Im fighting constantly, although enjoying, the battle to improve. Improve to what exactly I really dont know. But I do know this, when anyone, mostly my gf, calls me vain, I say damn right I am. Im glad I take care of myself, both body and mind. Im glad I watch what I eat and Im glad, a part from the old Ts and wife beaters I wear to the gym, I want to look good when I go out. A little vanity would be good for everyone!

Ok, been feeling great last month or so, workouts going well up until yet another tendon injury.. same one too, right forearm, which has slowed bicep work down and hindered back a little too. Seem to have done some damage in my right shoulder now too..no idea how.. will go easy on it for a few weeks. Depending on how things go Im thinking about adding a workout journal to get some advice on my lifts etc, will see how I am going into next week.

As a side note and the ´wtf´, all this feeling good Ive been having from some good workouts and two people in two days very sincerely have asked me if Ive lost weight cos I seem a little smaller… wot?? this lead to big ´oh nooos´ and a stupid workout considering im supposed to be resting my arm and shoulder.

All this considered Im still planning on hitting May HARD.

There was an interesting post few days back intitled Will never get where I want to be without steriods. Was interesting to see how many people here have thought about juicing.. and now with Bigger, stronger, faster opinions are being changed every day.

Ive been making gains, very slowly.. but there coming. I know im nowhere near some guys on here but I asked about competing in my gym today. The guy has trained Spanish champions and regional for many years. The conclusion is without the $$ to pay and without doping theres no point and no way. There are no test here for it as apparantly its too expensive to test for. That was a bit of a blow to be honest. Ive thought about using for a little boost but wouldnt even think about it if I were to compete.. defeats the whole point for me. There are no natural events in the region either as most who compete are juicing, and without the tests , they win.. so why train natural if youre going to compete.. madness. It took bit away from me but gave me some motivation to prove him wrong.. i know that aint gunna happen but was good workout nontheless.

I love food and didnt think it would be this hard to actually eat this quantity. I never thought eating was going to be harder than the training.

So, its been a while.. Ive put on some mass since the last entry (bout time), down to but its all down to better nutritian. Recently though ive been hitting it pretty hard due to one thing.. paranoia. I wont be able to train in Feb for THREE weeks, THREE WEEKS!! 21 days. NO GYM, NO WEIGHTS. Thats the longest Ive ever gone since I started lifting. Ok, in the beggining it probably wouldnt have made any difference but now im actually getting somewhere im going to have to stop! THREE weeks off.. dont like it. So, my plan has been to push it.. eating like a starving man every opportunity..getting on as much mass as possible. Some days I feel sick (squat days). Im going to take some before and after pics to see the difference three weeks makes. I hope, not much.
