You only lose if you don’t show up!
Saturday, April 26th, 2008As someone who has now competed as a bodybuilder I can say without reserve that the only way I could of lost is if I wouldn’t of shown up. I came in dead last on the score card. Not to mention that I was trying to get to middle weight and missed by 4 pounds wich made me the lightest heavyweight by 21 pounds, but I showed up and fufilled my childhood dream of becoming a competitive bodybuilder. Some people have asked me how i can say I won when I placed last, well first off I didn’t have a trainer or a coach to teach me how to pose. I did this all on my own with the occasional advise from friends. I trained myself with lots of research on how to train. Sites like BB.com assisted me with the details like carb and salt loading and depleting, and I owe a lot to MD magazine as well as Brian Dobson, Owner of Metroflex gym in Arlington. There advise and great articles are the only reason I got in shape to make it to the stage. Had it not been for them the judges may of been fired for letting me walk on the stage(not really). Regardless of all that I won because I learned more in those 2 days than I thought any man could. i left last weekend with the confidence that if I apply all that I’ve learned I will walk away from my next show as a winner with a trophy!
