Been awhile.

It’s been awhile since I’ve posted but I’m back at it again.  Last week, my unit (I’m military) decided he was going to start a new fitness program to reduce obesity rates by 10% in the next 6 months, an admirable goal.  However, they decided to use the dreaded Body Mass Index (BMI).  I’m sort of pissed because of course being a bodybuilder at 5′9 and 201 lbs I am a 30 BMI which makes me obese by this scale.  I had to laugh, The funny thing is that I just has a bodyfat measurement, which is currently 9% , and I still have to do this program.  I guess I’ll just have to deal with the less than challenging exercise routine they have put together until I retire in May.  Retirement cannot come to soon.  Nothing worse than being healthy and having to be lumped in with the couch potato crowd. Ho hum.

WOW!!!

Let me begin by putting my plug in for Universal Nutrition products.  I decided to change my supplements around and get rid of the MTstuff that I was using because I stopped seeing gains.  I switched to ON 100% Whey, Universal Animal Pump and Universal Animal Stak 2.  All I can say is WOW!!!  I have started to explode.  I have been on the pump for 1 month and Stak for 2 wks.  In two weeks I have had great gains in almost all my measurements as well as weight.  I have also found that I am much more aggressive in the gym on this stuff which likely attributes to what I think are amazing gains.

Went up in the Mountains camping with the kids.  So much for my attempt to shed some fat.  Spent the weekend pigging out on Bratwurst, Hotdogs, and all kinds of junk.  I may not have lost any weight this weekend but it was enjoyable, except for the shits that I have today.  Good thing is I probably burned most of what I took in between mountain biking and hiking through steep mountain passes  I know my boys are wore out, I can’t remember the last time they all laid around on the couch all day:)

Pretty Good Morning So Far

Up at 4:30 am (I know, how the hell do you get up that early), Had the usual concoction, jumped in the truck and headed to the gym.  Was pounding my legs by 5 am.  I need to do cardio this weekend, wish I could say I was looking forward to it but I never much liked cardio, gotta do it though if I want to cut some of the fat I have from bulking.  Felt alot better than yesterday, thank God.  Maybe I’ll treat myself to some hiking in the mountains this weekend, if I can still walk after today :)   Well, off to work.

What a ****ty Day!!!

Up bright and early at 4:30 am, had my shake, creatine, vits and felt pretty good.  Was in the gym banging away by 5:15.  Somewhere in that 45 min timespan my energy just went in the shitter.  I popped some energy pills just before the workout and they didn’t even touch me.  I grunted through my workout feeling like shit the whole time.  I guess its good that I still got a pump and felt sick to my stomach when I left the gym (this is normal for me because I work my ass off).  I hit the shower and headed to work.  It might of been a good day but wouldn’t you know it, the damn air conditioner died so I had to see patients all day in 85 degree heat in the building (It was 92 outside).  Thank god its almost time to go home, I have the headache from hell!!!
