the MOTIVATION PIT

For me everyday is a new battle a new war and I’m not fighting against an army of skin and bones filled with emotion, no I’m fighting against something that feels no pain that has no emotion that takes no prisoners. I’m fighting against the cold, heartless, unforgiving steel and iron. It’s a fight that I gladly accept everyday with a smile on my face and joy in my heart even though I know it’s an endless war. I know I will win the daily battles but I will never win the war it’s just one man against endless amounts of steel and iron soldiers. Blood, sweat and tears will be spilled, but it won’t be theirs. It’s a constant battle within and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

AS soon as my alarm goes off and my eyes open and i pull my drool covered face from my pillow i know its pre-game time and im not talking about the type for a football game im not talking about any kind of sporting event pre-game im talking about gettin down to business, its time to eat and go to work all my days events lead up to game time which starts at 730pm and ends about two hours later my pre-game consists off a day of work and 5 meals but none of that matters cuz once the flesh of my callus covered hands feels that cold iron in them its officially game time and there is no turning back for the next few hours i will put my body through the punishment it loves and craves it will become a larger version of its self it will be filled with love and not the kind i have for my girl a different kind that she understands but few others ever will and after it is all said and done i will walk out of the gym knowing i gave it my all and i left nothing behind but some beads of sweat I will leave with my head held high with no fan admiration and no reporters lookin for a post game interview its just my girl me and the drive home. When i get home its time for my post game celebration which consists of my last two meals and then bed, and when my head hits  the pillow i know in a few short hours it will be game time once again.

I sit here and write this as my best friend in the world, my better half, my blessing from god, my soulmate, my girl Tabitha2686 is out there pursuing here dream. Today is the day that she takes her physical test, making her one step closer to fulfilling her destiny of becoming a police officer. She was real nervous and worried but, I know she will stomp the test into the ground she has been training like an animal. I am so proud of her and I wish I was with her cheering her on, but I am at work because we both know I couldn’t deal with someone yelling at her like a drill sergeant. I would run out there and beat the s#!t out of that person, I mean sure I’d get tasered and arrested but it would be worth it in my eyes. Her pursuing her dream makes me realize how we all have dreams and how many of us don’t go after them. We all find excuses not to go after them or we try and we don’t succeed and we get discourage and we don’t try again, I mean even I have fallen victim to doing this.  But I am stating today that I won’t be falling victim to this anymore. I will be going full speed a head after my dreams and I hope you all do the same. Life is to freaking short to not pursue what you want out of it. I owe this wake up call to love of my life Tabitha2686…THANK YOU BABY I LOVE YOU!

What drives me?

The fear of failing, the fear of being the same as everyone else, the fear of  blending in with a crowd, the fear of being a follower and not a leader, the fear of not being true to myself. What drives me is setting new goals and working toward them and crushing what I had expected. What drives me is being down in the hole under the bar with my legs quivering from all the weight thinking to myself it’s you vs. the weight and you better win. What drives me is knowing someone else is out there is busting there ass just as hard as me if not harder. We all have things that drive us. This is what drives me.

Dedication is when you eat the same meals at the same time day in and day out. Its when you are sick as a dog and you call out of work because you cant even fathom the thought of getting out of bed to go to work but you still manage to get to the gym  because missing a work day isn’t as important as missing a workout. To you if you miss a day in the gym it’s like missing your wedding day. You spend all of your paycheck on food because you say if you miss one meal you will shrivel up and look like the norm of society and to you that’s scarier than death. Dedication = no holiday breaks, no birthday breaks, no sick days, no excuses. Dedication is busting your ass in the gym each and everyday  giving a 110%. Only some have dedication, i know i do, do you?
