Should I go into a competition?

At the gym in the last month, I have been asked on a few differnt occasions if I was training for a compition, or I should start competing. At first I was like ya , whatever. But now im thinking it would be a pretty cool experience to do. But even though I have been told I should, I really dunno if im ready. especally when it comes to posing :S. So my question to whoever reads this is SHOULD I try to join some compitions? What should I work on? What is expected in Compitiions. Thansk for ya time.

What are you looking to compete in? Bodybuilding or powerlifting?

Just reread your blodg and caught the posing line, so i am assuming your talking about ody building. I powerlift, but I would suggest you contact some competitve guys via their direct sites. Blogs are so hit or miss. Until you are well established on this site, usually the only people that respond are your friends or people with spare time like me today just reading through blogs.

    Good luck!

I would motivate anyone, especially someone with great potential such as yourself, to try it at least once. To be honest, I’m not a competitor Yet!, but I will be in the near future. It takes discipline and a strong will to win. You just might like it. Good luck! BTW, with practice you could get the posing…

hey bro…i get the same thing in the gym as well..folks even say i have the build….ive never even thought about being a body builder..i workout to relieve stress, stay healthy and look and feel good….mainly to kill stress and stay healthy..the rest are benefits.. but everyday i admit i find myself deep int he pages of BB.com and wondering how i can get my legs look to like other guys legs on here…or whatever body part…..basically, im bit by the bodybuilding bug or i have a secret desire to compete…lol..i dont know what im gonna do..maybe just perfect my body..but you have similar size to me…i say go for it…im a bit older witha career and dont have as much time..and i feel its a little late in the game for me.
