You Lift Like A Girl!!

May 28, 2009

Probably one of the best compliments you could get.

I take some time to look around at the females training at my gym for a little boost. Some of the most dedicated and hard working people in the gym. There always seems to be a higher level of focus in their training.

Good times.

Adrian.

Breaking the ice

January 10, 2009

This will be my second blog entry so far, my first one being…

"Welcome to the Bodybuilding.com BodyBlogs. This is your first post. Edit or delete it, then start blogging! "

Anyways, it was poorly written and I felt there would be a huge lack of interest on that topic, so I took it down.

I’m starting this blog post with no topic in mind. Simply to get that first blog entry out of the way and break the ice.

But here’s and idea….

Well it all started late August 2008. I was with some friends and I didn’t feel like my body image was what someone my age should look like. So the next day I expressed my intentions to gain weight to an IDFA pro (Carla Hampshire on bb.com) and discussed what it would take and so on. So from that day on I was eating huge meals, forcing myself to finish large amounts of food.

The changes started happening. In the beginning I was working out 2 times a week max, I didn’t have a good plan but at least my food intake was giving me gains. A month into it I was feeling pretty good about my potential to pack on some pounds. I had more information by then and I was making better decisions.

I remember my eating strategy in the beginning. That whole plan changed once I was stuck at the same weight for a couple of weeks. Rather than the huuge meals a few times a day, I was taking those same calories and making them into more meals…also added a shake to my first meal of the day. Immediately after tweaking my diet I started to move up on the weight chart again.

4 months later and here I am… little over 20 pounds heavier and feeling great.

Those of you wanting to pack on some pounds…just start. Commit to it for 3 months at least, at that point you should see those changes for sure and hopefully it will become a part of your routine and lifestyle. Keep track with pictures. Don’t over complicate the weight gain process….Eat eat eat, lift weights lower them then lift again then eat again then eat again then sleep. Use the people on this site for any questions you have…and if you are somoene who really wants to put on size and are reading this, id suggest surfing this site more, take a look at peoples progress and so on….BUT! Only after putting together a tuna sandwich…go…now!

Getting late, gotta rest.
