Added Bowflex

Thursday, November 22nd, 2007

Today I added Bowflex to my workouts I’ll be doing it like the commercial says 3 times a week, but I’ll do a whole body workout each day, the other days will be my normal workout and cardio. Though I am not one to follow the 3-4 set rule I am doing 50- 100 reps per exercise on the Bowflex also we have the Bowflex dumbells and I will use them every other weight workout so my body stays in a state of confusion. I don’t want it to get used to one particular workout so each one will be a change up. The Bowflex workout gives a great pump, I was pumped up for about 3 hours after my workout my muscles felt so full and tight I could feel the blood flow. I felt really good and satisfied from this workout I know it won’t add a whole lot of mass since it is not heavy weight only 210 lbs of tension, But I am looking for the lean physique not the heavy muscled one I strived for in my youth. Everybody is starting to remark and question how I am losing so much weight, I just say it’s through hard work and nutrition.

Our Thanksgiving meal was nothing worth eating actually in all my years in the Army it was the worse meal ever. Nothing was edible not even for a pig which a pig will eat anything. It was a let down so now I know for me to get anything decient it has to be sent from home. I have to stick with canned foods that I have been eating the past 3-4months, since it doesn’t bloat me  or make me sick to my stomach I also have to drink more water but it already is the only thing I drink besides the protein shakes. Giving up carbonated beverages has helped me to lose quite a lot of fat and the bloated feeling you get from drinling any carbonated drink.

Update on my progress.

Saturday, November 10th, 2007

With the addition of my new mini stepper I have lost another 1.25 inches off my waist and gone down to 14.2% BF I am starting to see results but the best part is others are now commenting on my progression from obese to now becoming leaner. One of the people I work with everyday said that it shows in my body, face and attitude how well I am doing.

my workouts are getting better I am getting a lot more flexible and stronger. Though I am not seeing the defination I can and do feel a lot better. During my bridging when I first started I could only rest on top of my head for about 30 seconds now I can hold or roll around to touch my lips to the mat and stay in that position continously for 3 minutes. My push ups have gone up as well as how many squats I can do before exhaustion.

Pain has gone from my knees and back, where I used to hurt all of the time when walking it only happens when I run or jump. I sleep more when I workout and I am more relaxed during the day to day business. I still have a long way to go but progress is what motivates you to continue.

I have added protein to supplement my lack of decient food over here I consume 6-7 meals or shakes a day and that seems to help me shead BF I feel very good from all that I am doing and pray that I never lose my desire and motivation to achieve my goals.

Body fat.

Thursday, November 1st, 2007

Today I went on the web site www.healthcentral.com  to the area for cholestrol to check my body fat % well before I was going by guestimated from previous Army checks and I did my original one from when I deployed which my guess was at 32% and the when I started on my quest I figured Iwas down to 28%. Well according to thier calculations my actual start was at 21% and now I am at 15.7% and that is alot better than what I thought.

My original reason for losing the weight was to try to get promoted but now it is just the joy of being in shape again. I don’t worry about getting promoted I am satisfied with the rank I have achieved, what matters to me is being healthy and fit, my wife and children and finishing my time in the military and going home.

My new mini stepper arrived today so now I can do cardio once again. I have been looking foward to it since one of the other NCO’s broke my last one now nobody get to use this one but me. And I can finally see more results in my fat lose quest.

This a good thing I write in this more than my training calender. Also started Syntrax Nectar protein and it is by far the best tasteing protein supplement I have ever tasted. I fyou have the money try it.My workouts will be the same bodyweight but I get to add cardio into the mix, I ‘m happy now.
