Damn… dieting for 7 months. Doing shows back to back. Would I do it again….damn right! What makes it worth it, is that the next day I am flying to Rome, then to Venice and then to Paris. Can someone say pizza!
I was able to put on a few pounds of muscle. I am a 190 right now. Next week I’ll start my carb deplete and my water deplete and some pounds should fall off. I am so looking forward to the show. When people ask, " what’s the hardest part." I always say the last month then the worst is the last two weeks. Its hell week if you ask me. Cardio…I ****ing hate cardio. I cannot stand it! That is the toughest part. The way I got though it this year is I got a treadmill with a LCD screen and a Netflix subscription. That helped so much!
So two more weeks! Almost there. An uphill battle.

So I changed my diet a tad. Been trying different carbs to find the right one that works for me.
So I am down to 185 now in the mornings and around 190 at end of day.
Meal 1- Eggs/ Oats
Meal 2- Fish/ Oats
Meal 3- sirloin/ Oats
Meal 4- Cottage Cheese/ Oats (Pre-Gym)
Meal 5- Salmon/ Oats
Meal 6- Egg Whites
I think the oats work better for me then the brown rice.
What works for you might be different. At the gym, people always ask me, what do you eat, and then they will attempt to mimic what I eat. My new answer is, " I eat green eggs and ham sam I am."
What I eat might work for you, but it might not. Your body works different then my body. Some people can eat Broccoli all day long some other might do it and vomit because their body is different. Some can eat rice and be fine all day and others might get sluggish. Why? Its because our body’s are different. Dieting for a show isn’t following what Jay Cutler does and what works for him. It took him years to get the right diet that works for him. Learn your own body and find out what works for you. 10oz of chicken might be enough or maybe 8oz of steak might be right.
I am still trying to figure it out, but I think I’m getting close.

Pre Cardio meal:
1 Banana
1tbs of Peanut Butter
Black Coffee
2 Green Tea pills.
Yeah, i Know. Don’t eat before cardio so you tap into Fat Burning. Yeah, well, its all theory and I train the way I want to train. I find I am more effective at cardio when I have something in my stomach, plus I would rather burn off something in my stomach then any muscle.
30 min of cardio
Meal 1:
10 Egg Whites
2 Slices of Bread.
Meal 2. Chicken, asparagus, 1 med sweet potato
Meal 3, Repeat
Meal 4. Post workout- 2 slices of bread, one banana, cottage cheese.
Post work out Shake
Meal 5. Lean ground sirloin, rice
Meal 6. 1 cup cottage cheese mixed with almonds and walnuts.

Just did the OC in April and took 4th in Open and 1st in the Novice. Missed the novice overall by one point. Oh well, there is always July. I think I should have gotten 3rd in the Open but judges have their own thoughts.
So its my road to the LA now.
