First visit to the Chiropractor
So I know many people are skeptical of chiropractors. I found an office yesterday and Im so glad I got lucky with picking the right one. It specialized in sports medicine so I went in to see if maybe they could help me out. I got educated on how everything works inside our bodies and that even if one thing is out of line it can spread through out your body.
He started off with checking my reflexes, range of motion, and detecting inflammation. I told him initially that I had a hard time looking to my left when driving....the test proved I had something wrong in my neck right away. My range of motion was short and I had inflammation at the base of my neck. Few cracks here and there....wow. I felt a crazy high and then we tested my range of motion in my neck....it was so much better! He then popped my arms back up into my shoulders and did some work on my mid back area.
He answered some of my questions about if I can still train and he said I could as long as I dont feel pain. I also need to start doing rotator cuff strengthening exercises- i knew i had to do them anyway....but he showed me how to do them. he also told me a few weight machines I can use to help out the cause.
in all, it was a good experience and he seemed very respectable and educated. Next visit is next week!
Diet- yesterday I got in a great cardio session (25 mins stationary bike, 10 on stair climb).....but I had to sample frozen yogurt for a journalism class review on a restaurant. I also made some banana bread and had a few slices. Ugh, not the best day but everything else was good wholesome food. Not going to kick myself for it.....it was my cheat meal.
today- doing good on diet once again.
-4 egg whites, veggie sausage patty, half a wheat pita
-cup of soup with half a wheat pocket with one slice of jack, avocado, sprouts
Hopefully I can get in my cardio after I get my nails done hehehehe. OH! tonight Im going out and this damn restaurant has a $20 minimum per person....not sure what I will be ordering because everything is probably baked in fat. Im a little scared.
