So this is Monday 1/21/08 I weighed in this morning and saw the scale at 274#. This is after a week end of carb up. Now back to the diet. I have changed a few things up. I have decided to go with the old tried and true. The Keto diet. I basicly am on keto for the week and then saturday I eat carbs, Sunday I slow it down and progress back to keto. But I have been using alot of Omega 3 and 6 oils instead alot of sat fats like found in hamburgers. I also like to use 2 protein shakes daily with water and fish oil caps, maybe even some olive oil mixed in.
But it appears the diet is working. I have lost little strenght and if any I have become stronger. I did my PB on the low row at the gym friday night. I did the entire rack, about 280# for 3 sets of 8 full reps. It felt good!

Ok so it is 1/03/08, time for me to hit hard. I have been putzing around for a bit not really putting myself into this thing. But I know it takes a certain mind frame for one to really hunker down and get it done. I guess I remember the mind set from ages back when I lost a ton of weight. I feel it again, but this time starvation will not be the plan for me. I plan on really getting my diet honed in so it is exactly what I want. I am tired of playting with diets that really do very little. I did the Keto diet, which did not really do as expected. I did the Zone diet, the low carb diket, the high protien diet, just about all diets imaginable. This time I do my own diet. I am going to play with protien and fiber basicly. Fiber can come from supplements and fibrous vegetables. I will be using roughly 10 grams or more of fish oils as well. My supplements will be simple, a multi, ( I may experiment with trib and do a study on it on my own), protien powder and maybe some spike for enegry to work out hard.
Now for the week, I am going to do cardio all days of the week, but with one catch, I am not doing any high impact. It will be simple walking or bike riding. While 4 days of the week will be split for wieght lifting. I am planning on doing a high volume type of routine. I will keep it within 8-12 reps and about 6 sets roughly. Weights will vary, what ever I feel is sufficient to lift and still maintain myself without passing out.
I did chest and back sunday, this is thursday and I did 25 minutes of cardio and then 5 hours later did arms and shoulders. I plan of doing legs maybe tommorrow night. I may do some walking tonite as well if I feel up to it.
Ok so daily routines will b e posted if I can do it.

Ok so now it’s on!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been serious for some time now but had to decide to do it. Once that come into play then everything else seems to fall into place.
For a few week now I have been doing treadmill EVERY morning for 20-30 minutes.
Workouts 5 times a week. Heavy with reps ranging in 8-10.
During this time i am down 15 pounds! Cut my meals in half and quit any alcohol I may have been drinking. Seems to be working nicely. Diet consists of oatmeal and protein shkes for breakfast.
a can of tuna with a tbsp of olive oil and fat free dressing added. for lunch
Snack, sometimes a small section of cheese or a handful of sunflower seeds.
Supper a steak or chicken breast or a peice of salmon with green beans or spinach with a small salad.
Late nite a handful of sunflower seeds. I know it may not be much, but it is working for me. i seem to not have lost any mass just fatty deposits are coming off. My goals are to keep on until I reach my desired bodyfat. Which I am hoping is within perhaps 6 months or less.

Like so many other times, life hits you hard and we lose track of our goals. Work and bills sometimes takes precedence over all.
Anyways here i am back at it again. I have gained a few pounds in the mid section which NEEDS to come off. Spo it looks like the old Keto diet is going to be in play here. I plan on doing a strict keto diet with no carb up until I reach a certain weight level. I will use a whey drink after work outs and maybe use some creatine just for the added pumps. But I plan on hitting wiehgts 4 days a week with maybe 2 days of cardio. I really don’t want to kill myslef with cardio due to no carb up at the time being. I will be doing various things such as riding a bike, jogging, walking, treadmill etc. ( If I can get some damn shoes that feels good on my sore heels).
i KNOW EVERYONE SAYS IT, BUT i GOTTA MAKE UP MY MIND TO DO THIS RIGHT AGAIN, I did it before and therefore should be able to do it again. Pics will be posted as I make progress.

Well I have been having some difficulties lately. But I will manage.
Work outs have been suffering greatly and really have been walking more than anything.
I had blood tests done to find out my hormones were in such a disbalance right now. I don’t notice any fat loss. I am going to assume that a high estrogen level would be the blame. Seems it is not letting go of any fat at the midsection. I may need to get a AI to use for awhile until the levels get normal.
Ok so I have been staying home to workout, no gym lately. Cannot deal with all the wannabes there. I went a month ago and it was full. Funny thing was they were all wanting to use the Ab machine. So they sat on equipment waiting to use it. Then there were people who would do the heaviest weight possible and do ( I want to say partials, but they were not even that), minimal movement as fast as possible. Then put it down and walk around like they were the shiznits. I figured I can’t deal with that so I stayed home.
Will add another post here in a few days after I get better.

Hard work and keeping at it. I guess I could have done more, but I work so damn muh anymore. I have a hard time finding my way to the gym. I have been working out at home lately I do a 3 day split, but it spills over into a 4 day routine.
I have done some cardio but I have mainly been watching diet. I have been cutting out anything high glycemic and eating 4-5 times a day. Mainly protein and vegetables.
I weighed in this morning after I did my ( well lets just say a routine I used in the past to olose a massive amount of fat). I came in at 274. This is good for me beause i have seemed to been losing fat only. I still retain my size though.
I have been using some NOS and creatine to aid in work outs. I kinda like the NOS it seems to help me with blood pressure as well, due to its widening of the blood vessels.
I am hoping to reach at least 270 in the next two weeks. But I am hoping to lose a few inches soon around the waist. I have been attempting cruches , but Due to not using these muscles much, get cramps in the muscles of the stomach. I had this before when I never used them. I just gotta keep going on until I get to where I want to be.
I just hit the big 50 a few weeks back and I have started to think about my life. Do I want to see my little girl grow up?
My diet is going to be changing right now. I have decided to eat oatmeal for breakfast and for midday meal. For breakfast of course I like 5 eggs, ( 2 whole 3 whites.). But with the midday I will be using a whey and possibly a soy mix if Mark ( fitnessman) doesn’t beat my ass for doing it.
I am going to try to do a sort of circuit training every other day. I will be doing lighter wieghts but with intensity. Then for the other days such as monday, wednesday, friday. I will bo doing heavy routines. This actually worked for me many times before lets see if it still does.

I know I should not be working so hard, but today I walked 6 miles non stop! Yesterday almost as much. Damn My knees are so sore and My hip feel like i am going to collapse when I stand up. But I need to suck it up and keep up, I do beleive if I keep going I can get back into shape. This is a bit tougher than before when I lost so much weight in a year. I was in better shape before and much younger.
It is tough, I keep looking in the mirror and see what I wish to look like, But yet I see a person aging.I gotta do this no matter what!
Next post will be roughly next week fri or saturday.

Ok so now I have to suffer with a hip problem, and sore knees but dammit I have fought hard and lost 5 pounds this week. I walked a total of 15 miles and did chest and arms so far. I am so pissed at myself for letting me get in this shape again It is so hard being diagnosed with arthritis in my lumbar affecting my knees and hips. But I am NOT GOING to let it get the best of me!!!! I walked up hill for 4 miles wednesday eveing while my daughter was at soccer practice. On the way down My knee gave out. I was really pissed! But after stretching and a minute of rest I was forcing myself on its way. I made it to the park where my girl was and could not sit, because I knew I would not get back up. That night I could not really walk much without pain. The next day after some ice I was back at it again. I REFUSE TO GIVE UP!!!!!!!!
Stay tuned for next week.

Well it has finally come to the point I have been waiting for. Over 4 years now I have been not able to work out due to an accident I had. I was severely injured not allowing me to lift anything or move my neck at all. I gained massive amount of fat during this time frame.
But now is the moment of truth!
I am going to use all the past advice I gave countless others as my time was spent here nightly. I remember helping so many others, ( at least I hope I did), Now I need to use it for me.
My plan is actually quite simple, I once spoke of a diet that was really not a diet but a way of normal eating to insure the body has all it needs for the day and no more. I will focus on the normal, fats will be omega 3s mostly from fish oil and flax. I will be eating roughly 200 grams of protein daily. Carbs will be in the form of vegetables and leafy items.
I plan on using a routine consisting of roughly ( depending on the feeling I have the day I do them) 10-12 sets of 12. It may sound like a lot but i am not using massive wiehgt at this time. I just want to invoke the muscles and cause some fat bruning to occur.
I am going to do treadmill for 15 mintues daily. I cannot do anything lese due to the strain on the back and hips. I will need to do an a lternative to squats but am not sure as to what right now.
I will add mnore to this later I guess. Feel free to add comments and all if you would like.
