HARD CORE!!

It look like by the end of the year it will get close to my target of 200lbs, but only close.

Indeed I wanted to reach that weight to show myself that if I push I can achieve everything, so I will goal it a semi failure, don’t want to be to hard on myself;-)

But for next year new target, 210 lbs by summer time with bodyfat at 10%.

To achieve that target I decided to start a 5*5 program and to stick mostly to the basics, bench press, squat and deadlift.

I want to increase most of my lifts by 10 to 20lbs.

Back.

Back from a week holiday in Croatia, didn’t do much lifting, but ran twice.Was not lazy at least, eat quite a lot, meat mostly but didn’t put on weight.

What wrong with me, can’t manage to put on weight lately, have to increase my intakes seriously.

Back in the gym next week, brought back a flu and don’t feel strong enought for wo.

I need to look at myself and start to work on my skinny legs, failing is not an option.

Strenght training..

I started a new way of training last week.

It is not a new training routine it is just that I m adding some strenght training, the famous 5*5.

I tried it in the past without real results but I decided to give it an other shoot.

What I m doing right now is mixing what I m calling my cardio resistance training, superset of several reps, from 12 to 15, with that 5*5 routine.

Hope to see some results soon.

Chicken legs…

I have been working out my legs since I started lifting weight, I did Squat(all of them), did Deadlift, Leg Ext and so on, for so little results.

I have to say, I enjoy working out but when the legs day come, I can feel that my body language change, a lot of bad though too.

Indeed what the point to be in pain for no visible results, what the point to not being able to run for 2 days if they don’t grow.

I m happy with my overall size, even if I  want more, but my legs are a big shme of mine.

So if u have any advices, I would be more than happy to follow any tips.

struggling diet..

Since I put the idea of putting on 10 kg, of LEAN mass, I have been trying to follow a relatively strict diet, but for differents reason I found myself struggling.

When U talk about diet to people they look at u like u were abnormal, they see u as a anoraxic teenager, even my girlfriend that I love more than anything can’t understand that I don’t want to eat muffins or other sweets because I want to change my body.

And because I don’t want to hurt her I break my diet.

 I wish I could find a way for her to understand that I want to get that muscly lean look taht I m sure she would enjoy.

Lost this week..

I couldn’t train much this week, indeed I was away for a training course from Mon to Fri, and even if I found a gym in the town where the training was it was not the same.

Less intensity in my week training, I don’t know if it was that particular gym but I couldn’t push myself.

I really need to work my socks out if I want to reach my goal.

Is it too late!

Since I began my new work out, Hard Core like I love to call it, I have one question on my mind.Is it possible at 35 years old to transform my body?

I m a Ectomorph:

Ectomorph: Short upper body, long arms/legs, long/narrow feet and hands, very little fat, narrow chest and shoulders, long, thin muscles. Ectomorphs are very hard gainers.

So, I m 35 years old and I m a Ectomorph, 2 reasons for me to failed probably.

But, I decided nevertheless to give a try, I designed a new work out program for my self, got some weight gainer and protein bars and lighten my cardio training, short session of sprints.

I don’t know if it is gonna work but at least I will give a try:-)

 

A world of pain!

I didn’t know I could get that sore after a work out..I did my leg workout on Sat and only today, Thursday 7th August, the soreness in my legs is going away.

During the last few days my legs were very tight, I even from time to time got some strange feelings in my legs, like I was getting hit at knee level and was loosing my balance..

Never felt that before.Weird and frightening.

But now I am back to normal, looking worringly to my next legs workout……

Can’t wait:-)

Leg Day!

I did it!!

I woke up this Sat quite early, just before 7am, I couldn’t sleep last night.Maja went for a race in Nothern Ireland and had to leave Fri afternoon, I can’t sleep anymore without her on my side.

So I woke up, feeling rested even after that short night.I had breakfast, musli with milk and a banana, and my protein shake.Just before I left to the gym, I walked the doggies and fed everybody, cats and dogs.

 Little warm up, 10mn spinning slowly, and up the squats, leg press, lunges, leg curls and extention.Finished with calves and abs, all together 1 hr of hard stuff but good one.

I m still feeling the soreness but I m happy that I done it by reaching the target I made for myself.

 Tomorrow will be a world of pain but it is worthing it.

Hard core is on!

Tomorrow will be the last day of my first hard core week, leg day!!I m always worry about that one, legs work out is always the toughest for me.

So far that week has been good, I m ofcourse sore, but since I decided to get back to hard core training I knew that soreness will be a part of the process.

 I decided for the sake of achieving my goal, put on lean mass, triathlon training should be put on hold or at least lighten, so for example I will not do any more long run but only fartlek for a total of 5km, probably twice a week.

Hopefully it will work, will keep U, whoever read my blog, update about the results.
