The warm weather is approaching and the Summer season will be here before long. Not too much time to fine-tune as much as I can. This year I will be in better shape than last. My job back then made it very hard. So far I’ve made good progress and have leaned down quite a bit. I find it encouraging that i’ve been able to do this even though I’ve had some interruptions with the move and all. Hope to finish within the next month or so.

I finished my move. It almost killed me. I did not sleep or eat that last week. I was working all day and packing all night. My wife had to leave ahead of me and I stayed behind to finish the rest of the work. I stayed up the last two nights all night until the morning. I had no time to eat either. It was probably the most stressful time in my life. Needless to say I couldn’t go to the gym (not that I would have had any strength anyway).
Upon my arrival; I was able to find a gym a few minutes from my house and by the end of my first week here; I had joined. Nothing to write home about; at least I was glad to have a place to work out now that my life was not in emergency mode. I have since then continued right along with my goals of leaning down and getting ready for this Summer. Moving from one house to another is bad enough but relocating and having to so this much work alone is terrible. At least I’m alive to tell.

I’m moving. I’ve put in my 30 day notice at my gym. Sad. I’ve been there for 7 years. 7 productive years. I’ve put over 30 lbs while working out there. Now it is the unknown. Hopefuly I’ll find a good gym (and soon). I have been making such good progress that even the stress of the move has not been able to derail me. This next obstacle being hurled at me by life will surely be overcome. My next post should be from my new location.

I can tell I’ve made some progress not only by my waistline but also by my overall definition. A couple of people have confirmed this so I gues it’s not just me. It’s barely noticeable but if I slowly keep it up I should be a lot leaner in a few months.

There is nothing like that feeling of going back to the gym after being very sick for a while. It feels like the first day of the rest of your life. So now its back to business like it never even happened (at least as far as my determination is concerned).

Been sick for a week. Fever+antibiotics+no sick days at work = no gym
Today will be my first day back and I should be back in full swing. I’ve missed a whole week of everything. I can’t remember the last time I was this sick. The fact that I couldn’t go to the gym added to my feeling of frustration. Not good.

Progress? It’s hard to tell in such a short time. Second week of new cardio routine. I’m also lowering the daily carb in-take. I should see some more concrete results in a week or two. So far so good.

I am starting to lean down. I’m in the process of figuring out. the right amount of cardio and the adecuate diet. I guess the most important thing is just getting started. I hope to have enough motivation to wake up at ungodly hours and skip the delicious carbs when they are calling out to me. We’ll see…
