Info and discussion

Just got done with my morning workout . It was great. I could feel the burn. Working really hard on get my body fat down and my muscle mass.  Hopefully I can have really good profile pic soon.  I am not real sure if I am going in the right way. I bulked up over the last couple of months and slowed down on my cardio. Gained about 10 to 20 lbs. of muscle and some fat I think. Now I have picked up on my cardio and was wondering if I should keep taking protein or not?

Hi! Thank you for your comment and support!
As for you… yes! definintely keep taking/eating lots of protein when you are lifting. You want to keep nourishing the muscles so they repair and grow! Creatine is good too. Cardio is up to you, I’m doing lots and lots of low intensity because I want to burn fat and then will get past my shin splints and start marathon training, but if you just want to maintain, do like 30-45 mins a few times a week. Play around with it a bit. You should be able to see what works for your body every couple - three weeks and you can tweek your routine accordingly!
Best of luck to you too on your goals and progress! Have a super day!

Hi! Because of my shin splints that never go away someone recommended to me walking with a higer incline. So I typically do 6 - 6.5% incline @ about 3.3 speed. Or the eliptical at a slower pace too. You just want to watch your heart rate - when doing Low Intensity you want to keep it in the lower "fat burning" zone. I found that helps me to stay motivated when my legs are acting up. I am still moving and burning fat, but not encouraging shin splints! Usually I do that for an hour - hour and a half. It’s boring so have your Ipod ready!!
