Weekend… FINALLY!!!

I am sooo glad it is the weekend… seems like this was one long ass week…

Anyways, it is freaking hot here today… like 85 degrees or something.  I love it though.  The weather is just gorgeous and it makes me feel good to see the sun shining.  It’ll probably rain all weekend now.. lol, like it did last weekend. haha… I sure hope not.

I plan on hitting the tanning bed after work and then the gym for some running… I have got to get some of this body fat off of me.. I am cutting back on calories a little right now to help burn the extra fat.  I don’t like being jiggly.

Well, I pretty much just wanted to jump on here and post something… lol, don’t want it to be like 6 months between posts anymore.

A little over a year …

It has been over a year now that I began working out.  I can tell a huge difference in how I feel on a daily basis.  I had slacked off working out for a couple months a little while ago, but have gotten back into it.  I tend to focus more on my Muay Thai than weight lifting.  I still really enjoy weight lifting though.  I went to the gym last night and stayed on the treadmill for 30 minutes.  I had Muay Thai last night, so as soon as I left one gym, I went to another one.  lol.

Working out has definitely changed my life… I cannot image NOT working out now.  I still need to work on my discipline, but I know that I will never quit.  This is a lifetime commitment.  I still have a ways to go before I will actually be happy with my body (if ever), but I know that I am working on it and trying my hardest everyday to break old (bad) habits.

Eating has always been my biggest issue.  I have never really ate "right".  I’ve had problems with food all my life.  Part of the problem is that I view food as the enemy.  I hate to eat because I’m always thinking in the back of my head that "this will make me fat".  That is something I will have to struggle with all my life though.

Muay Thai … you are awesome

I had Muay Thai class last night and it was hell… lol.  It seemed really intense last night for some reason… that’s good though… I really love Muay Thai.  I think I love it even more than lifting weights.. : )

Anyways, I will be back at the regular gym tonight to work on legs… you know I love to do legs.  I am trying to switch up and do a few different exercises to see if that will help me achieve my goals quicker.  I’m still trying to find exercises that my body responds well to.  I will get some cardio in today too.

My eating is still the number one inhibitor in my quest for fitness.  I just can’t seem to get that together.  I really wish I could afford a nutritionist.  That would probably help me learn about different foods and how they effect the body.

Well, I off to do some work!

Dang, it’s been a while!!!

Wow, it has been forever since I posted up here… somehow I locked myself out of here and had forgotten the password… then I kinda would just stop by bodybuilding.com to look at articles and stuff without logging in… anyways, I’m back!!

It’s now been about a year since I first started working out… I have had some rough patches, but I have pretty much stuck with it… I really enjoy working out, it’s kinda like my "me" time.  I did a killer back and chest workout last night… threw in a few abs and then I ran for a while… I ended up staying on the dang treadmill for over an hour… I was beat when I was done.

I’m still doing Muay Thai as well… I am really in love with that!!  I try not to miss any classes and don’t think I have so far this year.  I can tell that my body is getting stronger.  I still have to watch my food … same old issues with the eating.

Anyways, it is GREAT to be back on bodyspace!!!

New Routine and Ready 4 tha Weekend!!!!

The new routine is going great so far… did legs last night and some abs, plus I got in 20 minutes of cardio after my workout… I ran uphill and did some extreme uphill fast paced walking… kept my heart rate at a good rate and felt great after I was done!!  I will do some upper body today and hopefully some more cardio… I kinda prefer running to the other cardio equipment… When I do sprints, it seems to make the time go by faster than just running, although I usually start out with a brisk walk then run for a few minutes then do some sprint intervals then run again for a few minutes and then brisk walk again… usually I do all of these on an incline… That incline really makes my legs feel the burn!!

I haven’t gotten my measurements done yet!  I am totally slacking off on that … haven’t weighed myself or gotten my body fat taken lately either… I am gonna have to do that soon… I have hopefully made some progress in the numbers … I can tell that my body is changing and right now that is the more important to me than the numbers…

I am soooo happy that it is finally the weekend… this was one long ass week!!!  I am trying to get everything together so that I can start school next month… my advisor is  a hard guy to get in contact with… I may try to swing by there today if I can a chance… I know they close early on Fridays though… we’ll see…

~Back at it~

I am going to do my new upper body workout tonight… This will be the first time doing upper body with the new routine… did legs on Saturday with the new routine and they were sore!!!!!  Hoping to get the same with upper body… It feels like it has been forever since I’ve really worked out since I didn’t get to go last week except for Saturday… I definitely missed my workouts!!  Can’t wait to get in there today and lift!!

Restful Week

I didn’t go to the gym Monday or Tuesday because of the tooth issue, then I didn’t go Wednesday because of my Muay Thai class… well then yesterday, I crashed when I got home from work and slept till almost 8pm… got up and cooked and then watched some tv before going back to bed… I had a really bad headache when I left work and it just wiped me out… Feeling good today and am definitely gonna get in the gym today!!!

I ended up signing up for the Muay Thai classes… absolutely LOVED it!!!  I am still sore from the class on Wednesday… I am going to have to adjust my current workout plan a bit for the Muay Thai classes on Mondays and Wednesdays… That shouldn’t be too hard though… I am looking forward to learning more about the sport and seeing how far I can push my body.

Eating has been horrible this week, mainly because I haven’t been doing enough of it… Didn’t eat much at all on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday… Did better yesterday and I plan to do better today… I have to run out and get some more protein today though, because I am almost completely out…

OUCH!!!

I got my last wisdom tooth pulled on Monday and have been out of it ever since… no gym Monday or Tuesday… that sucked… I have a Muay Thai class tonight that I am determined to make…. I was sooo out of it yesterday from the pain medicine and just feeling yucky… I laid in bed until after lunch and when I did get up, I just laid on the couch…

I do feel much better today, but my mouth is still really sore… I am trying not to take any of the pain meds because they make me all dizzy and sleepy… but anyways… hopefully I will be able to hold off and make my class.

I will start a new training regime on Monday the 23rd… I am hoping to boost my fat loss and muscle gains and improve my overall fitness.  I’ll post a copy of my training schedule by the end of the week.  I plan on keeping a notebook of my progress to see if this routine is better than my last one.. I also may incorporate them both together and see how that works out… just want to tweek my routines and  see what works best for me.

Well, I started logging my food on fitday again… it does help me so that I am getting in all my protein…. had a pretty good eating day yesterday and a terrific workout last night (did arms)…

Tonight I am going to focus on abs and cardio…. I have fell in love with doing abs….not sure when that happened, but I like doing the hanging lifts and v-abs… all of it really!
