How awesome can a smoothie be. Try the recipe from BuckSpin for the Sweet potato pie smoothie. I changed it to my taste, and OMGosh, best thing I ever tasted. I mixed mine with 1/2 a tater overcooked, 2 scoops Syntha-6 Vanilla Ice cream, 10 G Glutamine, 4 G Arginine, splash of vanilla, pich of cinnamon and nutmeg, 12 ozs skim milk, then blend on puree. Best post w/o shake I have ever had. Just finished legs and drank that, and wow!! Go check out his blog for original recipe.

I have looked back to last December when my wife said those famous words, "You look good from the neck up!". And I remember tipping the scales in November and December at the doctors office at between 248 and 250+ when I was there multiple times for being sick. My wife was right, I looked like pure T shite. I got pissed and dropped to 203.2 by May and got happy. I was so close to having abs, but had been cutting for 5-6 months and was so proud of where I had come from, that I got complacent. Now I am happy with the size I have put on, the strength I have gained, and knowing that I changed my lifestyle and have maintained my weight between 203 and 210 since May. But I am ready to push towards abs before I start bulking. I want to have a six pack, not worried about being extremly low BF, but enough to see the abs come out. If nothing else, my body should be ready for the change to calorie cutting and some cardio and weight drop again. I am hoping by the end of the year to be at abs, and then bulk from Jan 2009 to March. After that, I want to stay with abs thru the summer and try to gain some clean size, even if it is not a lot. I am also still working on my book and my website. I hope to get the book ready and sell it online for a few bucks, if nothing else to get my family to a better place financially while at the same time helping someone get motivated by my story of transformation and life. The website, www.lostmybelly.com will be my way of selling my little book and providing a personal blog, photos, and get more detailed on foods, and supplements that I like to use. That is about it for now. I am glad to have this community and motivation to draw from. Good luck to every one out there that is training your a$$ off to be a better you.

It sucks getting older! I am only 39, but man things that hurt now compared to 10 years ago, what a difference. I got past my shoulder injury in August, and have been cruising along and increasing my weights in my w/o’s, and now my left elbow is flaring up again. I may have to just suck it up and take a week off to let it rest. On top of that, my right hand is still only around 70% from my bike wreck 3 weeks ago. I may have to go get it checked if it does not heal soon. I have very little grip, and that is not good when holding an 80# dumb bell over your face doing incline press. My leg strength is coming along and my squats are going up. I am still leary about my knees after 2 surgeries on my right knee for miniscus tears, but I have worked a better part of the year doing extensions and curls to strengthen my knees before going back to squats. I also start each leg w/o with 4-6 sets of extensions and curls to pre exhaust and get nice and warmed up. Aside from that, no going below parallel, or getting really deep. I am up to 5 dead hang pull ups, which hurts my elbow for right now so that goes back to maybe taking a rest week. Bulking continues until December 1, then 1 month of cutting and laying off my supps to clear my body out. Then back into heavy bulk January thru March 2009. More later.

Just started using Arginine in a heavier dose, than I have been. I have been using a capsule of Arginine/Ornithine 1250 mg/750 mg in 2 caps, and using 2 -4 capsules in the am, and after w/o. Now using 3-4 grams 3 times a day. Along with the CELLMASS 2 x a day, and my w/o’s, I can feel this regimen working. I am in my second 4 weeks of CELLMASS, and will be on it thru end of november. I am working on a mass gain sort of, more of fat to muscle exchange. The Arginine dosage comes from the October issue of Muscle & Fitness page 118. Very good article regarding best muscle builders, minus steroids, and test boosters. Starting a new job tomorrow that will allow for a new schedule as far as cardio and w/o’s , so will see how it goes.

Syntha-6, TRUEMASS, BCAA’s, Glutamine, Animal Stak, Arginine powder, and fish oil. Whole foods include chicken breast, broccoli, cauliflower, salad, london broil, filet mignon, bell peppers, apples, starwberries, cantaulope, Ezekiel bread, Smart Balance Omega 3 PB just to give a few examples. Did have a Mc Donalds ice cream today. Starting new job next week, and winding down old one, so a little stressed. Awesome back w/o tonight, very heavy and intense, around 25 total sets, 2 supersets in there, 6 different exercises. Looking for nice change in next 3 months. Can tell the CELLMASS is starting to kick in, just know my body, and I can feel it. Hoping for some changes in my new pics in next few weeks. Not looking forward to the horse pills in the Animal Stak, at the risk of some fun being poked at me, I am not to good at swallowing big things. That sounds bad no matter how you say it.

I have to say I love my BSN products, CELLMASS, TRUEMASS, and SYNTHA-6. I am getting ready to add back NO-EXPLODE and maybe AXIS-HT. I use these products daily and I feel like it makes a big difference in my training. I am going to make a video of my morning shake and the ingredients, and maybe it will help someone else looking for a nice calorie breakfast with lots of nutrients.
September is final month of cutting and then October is time to put on some size. I am hoping to put on arouond 20 total pounds with around 10 or so clean mass. I am so glad I found this site. I get my supps here now, instead of another site I use to use, n**rition.com. I hope to get on stage next year, just depends on how my bulking goes and my cutting next spring. Lots of great folks here from all walks of life working on the same thing, pretty cool when you think of it.

I am finally getting back to good workouts after some rest and slowly hitting the weights again after my shoulder injury. I strained 2 of the 4 rotator muscles after a heavy back w/o, followed the next night by heavy chest. The ortho doc explained that I had fatigued the subscapalaris and teres minor from heavy back, and then the heavy chest strained the already fatigued muscles. He also suggested getting back to dumb bells to start with my chest routine. I only like incline, and so now I start chest with some shoulder rotations, then pec dec. Next on to dumb bell press, then incline barbell, followed by more pec dec. I feel so much better and tonight was a great workout doing it that way. Nutrition is good, but have tightened up on my carbs. Looking forward to getting some size and staying injury free.

I decided after being prodded so gently by my wife to lose weight with the stinging, but profound words, " You look good from the neck up!", to start writing about those words and the impact they have had on me. I am hoping to be done by the end of the year and sell it on the internet as an e-book, and for a price under $10. Two goals here with this little endeavor. One: Share my adventure and life with others, and maybe impact some folks along the way in a positive manner. Second: Take care of my family and if I can do well enough, stop feeling like a slave to debt and a job. I like spending time with my family. I also like being involved helping others. I do not really want to be a personal trainer per se, but do want to help others with all life goals, which may mean some inclusion in ministry, who knows. Time and patience will dictate.
