Nov 11th: Ouch
Tuesday, November 11th, 2008I got on the scale yesterday and I had gained almost 2 lbs since the week before. I wish I could say that it was muscle but it wasn’t. I was much more strict yesterday so I got on the scale this morning to see if I was going the right direction. I was down .6 lbs. That made me happy.
Then this morning I decided to try Eddie Lomax’s Tabata protocol. It is deceivingly simple but it kicked my but. Basically it is 3 exercises done to high intensity. Bodyweight Squats, Pushups and Chinnies with is a psychotic crunch. The first set I did 10 squats 10 pushups and 10 chinnies and felt fatiqued but pretty good. I decided to up the squats in the second set to 15. I thought my head was going to explode. I did the same for the 3rd set and felt a little better but it was all I could do to do 10/10/10 for the last set. Then I had to go upstairs to take a shower. That was challenging. My legs felt like rubber. So for anyone who is just starting out, I highly recommend it. It only takes about 12 or 13 minutes but it is intense.
