Some thoughts on alcohol and BB.

July 26, 2008

I noticed a lot of novice guys like to drink a lot. Now I am not going to play the high morality card, since I myself get high from time to time ( 6-8 times a year ),on substances like LSA ( hawaiian baby woodrose ). But I would like to talk a little about the negative impact alcohol has on the body and especially protein synthesis and endocrine system. When a person is drunk their LH levels rise trough the roof, this accounts for the sexual stimulation we experience, however at the same time there is a massive surge of Estrogen. As we know, estrogen is the enemy ..mostly.. it does have its positive effects ( too little estrogen and your joints are going to be dry ) But when you drink, your Estrogen levels spike to excess. Excessive alcohol consumption wreaks havoc on your metabolism. It slows down digestion, depletes h2o stored in your cells, slows down protein synthesis, increases sodium , lowers potassium .. I mean the list goes on. Now imagine if the person likes to get drunk every weekend..even every other weekend. It takes a few days to fully recover from a night of drinking. And by the time your body recovers, you are drinking again. Its like digging holes under your feet and falling in them. Drinking and alcohol do not mix. /End rant.

I am new here

July 24, 2008

I found this place on accident the other day and I figured I’d join. Not really sure what else to put in this first post. Well I would like to complain about the recent weather. Jogging in 100+ degree weather is getting a bit annoying. Having to gulp 2 + liters of water prior to jogging is something else.
