Workout partners!
Why do I keep losing them? LOL. I know my leg days as crazy, and it seems as if I am on a mission to kill someone or something… well, I am… I want to kill any jiggles, fat, and anything that’s standing between me and my pro card!! Don’t get me wrong, I don’t over train any body part; split training is my motto. It keeps my muscles in shock, and constantly developing and growing. Split training keeps me excited about new workouts and breaks up any monotony. A guy workout partners always seems to focus of upper body and neglect their legs, and women… let’s see, I end up racking and re-racking for them, too much chatting and not enough lifting, want to leave half way through the workout, too scared to try new things, and my favorite “I don’t want to bulk… look like a man, get big” Give me a break! I enjoy training couple of people out here before “my workouts”, the step aerobics and abs class that I teach, but I need more. I don’t want cheese with this glass of whining that I am spilling
, I just want a good workout partner who will stick it out till the end and come back for more!!!!!!!!

I know EXACTLY what you are talking about!!! EXACTLY!!!! I can’t keep a workout partner to SAVE my life! In fact my BEST workout partner ever was a FEMALE! About 6 years ago while I was working as a Police Officer my female partner started going to the gym with me! I didn’t hold back. She hung in there. She even said, I helped get her in the best shape of her life.
Even guys will say, I don’t want to get too big! I can’t stand that! They are just being lazy! You don’t want to workout with those type of people anyway! I do better by myself than having a partner and trying to justify heavy lifts or X amount of sets and reps or one or two more of this. I feel your pain!

The last guy I had work out with me, started on leg day…. he made it to the second exercise and decided he needed to leave because he didn’t feel good. It’s the same guy who I made throw up after a back work out- 1 year ago or so. Another Army guy… a SAPPER (wanna be Ranger) lifted with me once… bought all kinds of BSN SUPPS came to the gym, on leg day… twisted on one of his reps of One Legged leg press. Hasn’t been back to the gym. Keeps saying his back is still hurt.
I feel you!

LOL, that’s what kills me, they get all hyped and buy the whole bb.com warehouse and quit the fist week. Am like, you just spend half of your pay on that stuff?!! I just got back from the gym, today was my leg day, my fav ?… I was squatting my norm 135lbs warm up and then up to 225 the add 10s until I can’t take it anymore…LOL, mind you I am only 5’5” and 138lbs (as of this morning). I turned around and these two random guys, I never say before were like “great things do come in small packages” I LOLed and said thanks. As I continued my workout, I watched them push each other to 445lbs in the squat rack and got JELOUS, and the result was my blog. I want that push to do more and better, but with losing all of my past workout partner, I say “better LIFT alone than unhappy”.
Cute baby btw.

I’ve had the same problem too. Most people just don’t want to lift with any real intensity I guess. I gave up on having a partner, and instead, just have a couple of people who I know I can get a spot from when I’m doing a particularly heavy lift.

I don’t even bother asking those, cause they think that you are just trying to talk to them… ugh, people. My music is my partner these days.
