Compliments!!!
An expression of praise, commendation, or admiration: A sincere compliment boosts one’s morale. It’s a kind gesture that goes a long way, if meant; you can change a person entire day if not life. I know the first few I’ve received in my road to weight lost, muscle definition, and even school and job performance have changed my outlooks on things. I found myself striving to do better and at times even try to supersede my own expectations!! However, some take it as an intrusion or a “pick up line”. Get over yourself!!!!!!!!!! Why can’t you just say thank you and ponder on what that person said for a moment? Perhaps even pass one to the next person or to that new guy or gal that’s just started their new fitness journey. Granted some have been told lies, and now walk around with a glob attached to their necks or just exaggerate their approach to their surroundings period. If I let every compliment that I received get to my head, I will look like Tweety Bird with an ego problem LOL.
Bottom line is, take, accept, embrace it, and let it be an encouragement or an addition to your self esteem and add it to the “love me” list when those rainy days hit you and you need a pick me up message for yourself.
