Cardio day. Got a good run in. I’m maxing out at 6 on the speed during my intervals the program is really only for 5.5 but I can go faster and next week I’m gonna go for 6.5 and up from there.

Woke up late but didn’t let that get in the way completely. I still ended up getting a good butt blaster walk in. That where I work my way up to the steepest incline.

169 cal/ 20 min/ 1.183 miles

While getting ready for work I got a call that Joe dislocated his arm again! We didn’t even go a year without it happening again. So I missed work yesterday and took care of him. Poor guy, he’s says this time is much more painful. Damn Portland rain, big trucks, slippery steps and bad tread on shoes!!!!

Well I’m getting closer and closer to my 10 min mile. I’m must trying to figure out how hard I have to run to get there. Last Saturday I ran a 11.10 min mile going at 5.5 the whole way. Next week I’ll try 5.6 and see how close that gets me. I know i f I just jump right up to 6 it would guarantee 10 min but I want to know exactly. Plus I like working up to it. After my first 10 min I ran more. I was running hour runs there for a while but got real bored real quick so I bumped it back down to 30 min and started working on my 10 min mile. This way I’m running less but running much harder than on my hour long runs. Now I’m bumping my time back up again so last time it was 40 min total.

Another productive morning. I’m so glad it is Friday, I’m taking Brenden to see Santa tomorrow and take pictures. I’m very excited, it is the first time we’ve done it, just never got around to it before. Other than that I’m very sore , I can still walk but it hurts. I have such a positive attitude this time around, things seem to be easier this time. I have not had fast food in a long time and I haven’t been snacking on crap and don’t crave it either, go me. The scale isn’t budging but it will soon with all this hard work.

Bummer day. Woke up on time but laid in bed with my hubby for what we thought was ten minutes to discover it had been 50 minutes! We still can’t figure out how that happened, so I didn’t have time to workout this morning. Which is a major bummer, I just know it won’t get done tonight, no matter how much I tell myself I’ll workout tonight, I’ll probably be too tired or make some other lame excuse.
My goal would be to workout while watching my show which we missed last night but thanks to DVR never have to really miss. I truly let the TV control my life, it’s sooo sad. Maybe I can get the hubby to workout with me this time, while watching the show. Ha, we’ll see. Either way I should just get up and do some lunges, squats and abs. Then at least I won’t feel so bad.
No matter how much I tell myself to stop watching TV I can always find something on, I guess I just enjoy sitting, relaxing and concentrating on something other than my life for a while (ie: The Hills). I get home at 6pm and I literally walk in the door and head right for the kitchen to start cooking dinner, sometimes with my coat still on. So once I hit the couch it’s really hard for me to move again until bed time. The smart thing to do would be to get up and clean or do a quick workout, this would get my mind of things and would be a lot healthier but wouldn’t be relaxing. But hey that’s what sleep is for, right? I really need to take a long look at my priorities and readjust. I can’t let the fact that I wake up in the dark and come home in the dark be the reason why I’m so stinking tired. It’s the fact that I’m not doing the right thing. I know what I need to do, I know how I should workout, eat and everything but for some reason I just get stuck in a rut, every time and I’m starting to get really tired of this cycle. The only reason I’m not reaching my goals and the only reason this is taking so darn long is me and my excuses. I really just need to snap out of it. When I go home tonight I’m going to truly concentrate on not just sitting on the couch all night. While I watch my show I’m going to do my little workout and probably do a load of laundry. (It’s a two hour show). Just doing this will boost my spirits. I also need to be in bed by 9pm (you see how that’s only 3 hours to cook dinner, eat, watch tv, relax, work out and do laundry, damn the work of a woman is never done), so that I can actually get up on time tomorrow morning.

I’m very proud of myself this morning. I got right up and got right to business.

I’m very proud of myself for the lateral raises, I’ve never been able to do more than 5 lbs so that was an accomplishment.
