This last weekend I ate like crap and didn’t exercise and on top of that went to the Portland Beerfest and had some strong ass beer. But that’s not going to stop me to getting right back on track and doing what I’m supposed to do. But I did have fun!

tgif! Just more running today. I almost didn’t make it through the full 30 min. but I kept saying just another 5 min and then I was done. So I’m happy about that. I’m so glad today is Friday! We’re upgrading our sattelite at home and the guys are coming tonight to do that so I’m excited about that. And we’re going to see the Simpson’s movie, so we have fun weekend ahead.

Sunday we went to Joe’s big tent sale and I got some new wo clothes. Everything matches, I’m so excited.
Yesterday I didn’t blog because I didn’t do anything and I ate like poo, well not really that bad, just didn’t eat enough. I was just completely out of it all day.
Anyways, I woke up today awake and with a better attitude. Today was full body work day. I did the beginner level because I wasn’t sure how sore I would be the next day. If I’m not that sore I’ll take it up a notch next time.

Today I tried to the 400 cal program and it was way too hard for me. I still ended up burning more than normal but there is no way I’m ready to up my program yet. Disappointing but somewhat expected. I’ll try again in a month.

Basically my IT band is too tight and it’s getting caught on the bone when I bend my leg. It’s a result of all of the running I’ve been doing. I haven’t been stretching before I run or after and my knee muscles are weak. So the PT gave me some stretches and exercises to do. I really think it will fine after a few weeks. My body just isn’t used to all this exercise, I love it, lol. My knee already does feel better, still a little funny but basically better.
He said the popping and cracking probably is tendonitis and it’s really no big deal. Just ice when needed. This is really just all a part of running and my legs. No reason to stop, only more reason to build my muscles up. He said my patello is fine and doesn’t move around too much and he showed me why. That was probably the best "doctor" appt, I’ve had in a while. So unless something serious happens in the next couple of weeks, I’ll say problem solved.
I really want to concentrate on my leg mucles now. I can’t wait until I can do lunges again, ok that sounds weird, but I want to get stronger and that will take hard work.. ie, lunges.

Wow I’m a cardio queen, I tell ya. My physical therapy appt. is today, Im’ very anxious to see what they say about my knee. It’s not popping nearly as much as before, but if I’m not careful and I move too quick in the wrong direction it will.
Also it still feels funny.
intervals/2.250 miles/ 30 min/ 300.6 cal
m1: 2 slices ezekiel toast, natural pb
m2: wpi shake
m3: subway 6 in turkey, honey oat, all veggies, oil and vinegar, no cheese, free cookie (had too, it was free)
You should get a kick out of this, so I just got back from tanning and I changed into shorts there so I was prepared for the pt appt. Well while driving back to work I look at my legs and realize I haven’t shaven in a week and a half, lol. Normally I would just say thank god for blonde hair but this person is going to up close and personal with my legs so now I have to swing by Target and get a razor and quickly take care of that, lol. I crack myself up.

I LOVE running! This morning when I got up, I really didn’t want to get up and even after I was up and said goodbye to Joe I could have gone right back to bed and slept for 3 or 4 more hours. But despite me being soooo sleepy and my tummy being upset I jumped on the treadmill and showed it who was boss. I love listening to my ipod, watching the minutes go by and watching the mileage and calories go up. The interval training is the best for me.
I’m thinking about switching up my weight training, I’m already getting very bored with high reps. Also the split day thing is annoying me. So I think I’m going to continue to do more cardio and throw in some full body workouts instead of split days. The most important thing for me right now is getting rid of that fat but I don’t want to lose the muscle I’ve gained. Whatever I do, as long as I go through all the way to the end of my 12 weeks, I know I’ll see results.
today’s results: 2.252 miles/ 300.7 cal/ 30 min
m1: 2 slices ezekiel toast, natural pb
m2: hard boiled egg white
m3: 3 pieces left over sushi, not very hungry today
m4: applesauce, almonds
