I did it

Yesterday I went for my normal long run that I haven’t done in a couple of weeks. I was able to cut my time by 5 min. I sprinted alot on the way back, I was going really fast, lol. But my legs were feeling it all day yesterday and today. But I did 3.5 miles in 40 min so that made me happy.

Two mornings in a row. I went for a quick run this morning around the block again. Got the blood pumping and a good sweat going. It was 10 min. .76 miles

the new POA

My new POA is going to be simple. I don’t want to get overwhelmed with intense workouts, I don’t want to get burnt out again. So we’re going to start off simple. I plan on doing more cardio to start and then add more weight training as I get used to training again. I’ve continued to shrink even while not working out alot, my weight is the same, but the jeans I bought that were a size smaller are getting loose, yee haw!

So here’s the POA

Monday-Cardio

Tuesday- upper body/abs

Wednesday-cardio

Thursday- lower body/abs

Friday- cardio

Saturday- cardio

Sunday- off/or a fun bike ride or something

Cardio is what kicks me into high gear, weight training is just supplemental right now. I don’t feel overwhelmed by this at all. My last attempt at a program was a disaster, I set the bar way too high for my lifestyle, I want to be healthy but also enjoy life. I needed to find balance and that last program wasn’t balanced. The diet was crazy and so were the workouts. I don’t plan on competing so there was just not enough determination to work with to get me through that. So now I feel I’ve come up with a normal plan, that works with my life and goals.

I totally kicked butt this morning I got my ass up out of bed and actaully worked out. Oh, how I missed the burn, the intensity, the feeling of accomplishment and flexing my quads always makes me feel good, lol. So today I did lower body. squats 3×15x33.5 lunges 1×15 per leg step ups 3×20x5 per hand kick backs 3×15 plie squats 2×15x5 crunches 30 then I ran out of time I started off light becuase I haven’t done anything in a while. So we’ll see if I’m sore tomorrow.

another quick run

Well I went for another quick run today, but this time it was 12 count them 12 minutes, ha ha. So sad to my nomral 45 min runs. But I’m doing something. Not to mention I’m half asleep when I’m running that early, I feel like a zombie and so do my legs.

short run

This morning I went for a really short 8 min run around the block. I woke up later than I wanted to but instead of telling myself that there isn’t enough time to run I went for a quick run. I’m glad I did, I got the blood pumping and now I feel like I accomplised a little something.

Even though the exercises I do in this workout are mainly body resistance but it’s so fast paced and like circuit training I call it cardio. I loose my breath alot during it and my heart rate is up so I think it’s cardio. Anyway, I did more today.

start it up 18 min.

my legs are still buring from Tuesdays session.

finally back

Well after a week of sitting on my butt and waiting for my mouth to heal I’m finally back to working out. This morning was the first morning I’ve felt like doing anything. This is why I don’t like the doped up feeling, it just makes me tired and lazy. Today I just concentrated on cardio.
