Last Thursday I went to the doctor with what I thought was a spider bite on my leg that got infected and thought I had blood poisening because I had a red squiggly line going up my leg and it hurt really bad. Well I left the doctor diagnosed with shingles. I was completley dumbfounded. I immediately got on antibitotics and was down in the dumps. I had felt like my body was trying to get sick the whole week before and I didn’t go to the gym once and then I didn’t go after thinking I had shingles. Well by that Saturday all my pain was gone and I didn’t have any rashes like they said I would get. But I continued my meds thinking maybe it was just keeping the rash at bay. By Tuesday I felt so good and still had no rashes and my one bump started to go away that I went to the gym. Wednesday I called and told the nurse how I was doing and she thinks I was misdiagnosed. I said maybe it had something to do with the fact that the doctor had shingles two weeks prior and he’s on a shingles kick. So this whole time I think feeling like crap was all in my head or I was just tired. I go to the doctor this afternoon to find out what was really wrong. I think it was either a bite or a bump from dry skin and it just got infected. But luckily the antibiotics I was on took care of whatever it was. Anyways that’s the reason for my lack of exercise and motivation lately. But I have been to the gym 3 times so far this week and plan to go Sat and Sun. My goal is to not miss a workout for a month. I also renewed my gym membership for another year, yay! Toned and fit here I come!

I did my first Mystic Tan last night. Man, my hands are embarrassing. Everything else looks pretty good but my hands look so silly. I put this protective lotion all over them but it didn’t seem to help. I hope it fades enough by tomorrow.

So anyway, had a good day at the gym this morning.

I actually got up early enough to make it to the gym in time to get some weights in. Not as much as I should but it’s better than nothing. I missed doing weights.

Today got off to a rough start, got to the gym a little late, my mp3 player was dead so I had to use my phone which doesn’t have a clip, took 3 different treadmills to find one that worked right and then while I was running I hit my headphone cord and my phone went flying onto the floor. Weird morning, but besides that I got in a good workout.

Today is my day off but I decided I’m going to start blogging meals and wo’s again because as boring as it is, it keeps my on track.

m3: spinach, chicken, mushroom, feta salad w/ light italian dressing

m4: lf cottage cheese, pineapple

m5: turkey italian sausage, elbow mac, pasta sauce, grated parmesean, asparagus w/little bacon for flavor.

Saturday I had a great workout. I did chest, bi’s, abs and some stretching at the gym and then took George for a run. We were both exhausted once we got back and just rested the rest of the day.

Today I got up at 3:50, didn’t actually get out of bed until 4:05 though. Did shoulders, tri’s and some abs.

rear delts on pec deck

ran 25 min/ 240cal/ 2+ miles/ max 6.6
