I’m totally bummed
Okay so since school started it’s been pretty hit and miss for me and my gym time. I just feel like I have so much to do all the time and the gym takes away from that. I know it’s supposed to be one of my top priorities but I gotta say, when you are involved in your family, have friends that you still want to see, and children that you have to care for, and work on top of all of that you just feel overwhelmed. I’m trying to stay positive about my fitness program because it IS important. My health is important and helps me do well in all the other areas of my life. It’s just hard. I love the new shape that my body is getting and that’s encouragement for me to work harder. I just get bummed when I get everything done at the end of the day and there is no longer time for me. So selfish and so true

I feel your pain. I have the same situation since school started. That and with homework, and after school activites, its crazy. The sad part is that now in order to cut out a regular time to hit the gym, it is at 4:00 am! But I guess we have to do what we have to do. Just keep pressing through.

Ditto above. Paula, try getting up earlier for morning workouts. I know what you may be thinking….."I’m not a morning person", or "I just can’t get up that early", etc. It’s a choice. I’ve been getting up 4:30-5am for over 5 yrs now to workout, because evenings are simply not an option. I have kids, sometimes the late nights at work, other evening commitments sometimes, etc. Since my health & fitness are important to me, I suck it up & choose to get up early. Now….I wouldn’t go back to evening workouts. I can relax when I get home & not stress over whether I’ll get my workout in. And, it’s a great & energizing start to my day.
GOOD LUCK.

I do the same as Dragonfather…hit the gym while the family sleeps. Don’t let the situation get you down, and remember it’s important for everyone that depends on you for you to take care of yourself in the best possible way. Hang in there and don’t give up.

If you have a day that you dont get a workout in, no biggie, but make sure that the next day that you get your workout in. you don’t want it to snowball as to where you havent worked out in a week. You just have to make it a priority to get your workout in.
hang in there!

4:30AM, except on the weekends. I sleep in ’till 6:30.
Do whatever you can whenever you can, just don’t walk away from it. I did for fifteen years because it was easier not to do it than do it.
I wish I had those fifteen years back.
