after spending several months on full body routines, Its time for a change. A few of my body parts are starting to have problems in the duration of a full body workout. Ill go from 2 full body workouts a week to 3 workouts a week with a chest/arms, back/shoulders, and a legs day. Hopefully this will be a good one for me and wont have to make many more if any adjustments.

After disappearing from the site for a few weeks I have finally made it back. I have been mentally drained from personal issues and physically incapable of much with injuries and a cut diet. I have just been able to start back into what I love, lifting the iron. I still have soreness in my elbows, but I am able to still lift and not affect them much if any at all. I hope I can work on a few things now and improve my over all physique. I have dropped my bodyweight from 260lbs to 235lbs and still held my lean mass pretty well.

Took a stab at some HIIT today, and let me tell you… WHOOOOOO.. that is some tough stuff just starting out.. Probably went a little to long with it, but it felt pretty good from a workout standpoint. Been a long time since I had a full body sweat that intense. This is a welcome change to the way I normally workout. I use to just want to bulk bulk bulk and got to 260lbs and felt like absolute crap. Moving all that extra body weight around was terrible. I did a cut and lost 15lbs in a couple weeks and felt so much better. I am now trying to shed some more bodyfat and try to shred up.. I havent been real cut since before 2000 and would love to get back to that point..

The elbows are healing good, the need for iron is still there, and the psycho in the heat of a set is thriving. Ive been sticking to a decent diet, riding a stationary bike, pounding out tons of incline pushups(some weighted), crunches, and some leg work while the elbows finish healing. The elbows are about 85-90% and I was able to add in some light curls yesterday. I needed them to. I cant stand not being able to do curls. Ive been throwing in tricep pushdowns so my tris have been getting hit hard as of late. I do a few variations of incline pushups, so the tris are getting hit hard with them. I want to be able to go back into the iron at full blast and not miss a beat. Mainly on the bench. Hopefully by mid to late of next week, I can go back to the bigger lifts, but I am pretty happy with what is happenign right now. This slight cut and body fat loss is looking great.

After battling an elbow problem in my right elbow, now I have developed tennis elbow in my left. It wasnt a real stiff pain until I finished a workout yesterday. Today it is very sore and picking up my bottle of water irritates it. I have been giving the area massages every so often and that is helping a little. Time to ice it when I get home and work on cardio, legs and abs for a few weeks I guess.. I might be able to do pushups, but I definitely want this to heal quickly. I went through this about 3 years ago and it was horrible after awhile. I never let it rest and it got to be to much for me and I had to have cortizone shots put in the elbow. Even though the shots did not bother me, I would like to avoid a dr visit. Not really sure why it flared up on me, well maybe it did becasue of my inactiveness from the other elbow then jumping right back into a full scale workout.. I should have looked at the pain right from the start and cut back and added a forearm strengthener, but I can be a little hard headed when it comes to altering my routine.

Over the past few weeks I have changed my diet emensely, some due to stress levels. I am chuggung down the water, eating better foods and no junk. Unfortunately my stress levels from an impending divorce may hinder any progress I would normally be making. Hopefully I can get past all this and make a new start.

Along with my life changes about to come about, I am changing the way I look at bodybuilding and fitness. I use to be all about getting as big as possible and as heavy as possible. After my latest injury, i have gotten to where I want to finally change my body. I want to trim and cut. I have changed my diet quite a bit and have already lost some weight. 12lbs to be exact in a little over a month. Being heavy is rough on me and I feel like I am 40 years old sometimes. No offense to the 40+ out there. I just feel stiff and have no flexibility. Its time for a change, and that time is now!

Well I was able to hit some exercises again yesterday and really felt good. The ast few days I have been concentrating on testing my elbow and it as responded well. I have been doing deep incline pushups, tricep pushdowns, and different variations of curls. I decided it was time to try some bench press yesterday after I had finished several sets of pushups. I was able to jump right back into my normal weight, of course the reps were lower, but I was still able to do sets of bench with 255lbs. Ill keep the rehab like workout for a little while to make sure I dont inflame the elbow again.

After yesterdays workout to test the elbows a little more, I feel good this morning. No soreness at all, but I know the elbow is not 100%. Just being able to what I did yesterday was and is a relief. I will probably do it again this afternoon if my muscles that were worked yesterday do not get sore by then. I am hoping that I can jump in with both feet real soon and really get to work. I want to change a few things and hope to work on getting a little cut. I have been changing my diet as of late and have dropped many unnecessary calories.

Today I tried to get back into some kind of workout. I managed to do a little. Still have something wrong with my right elbow. I dont think I reaggravated it, but only time will tell. I feel it is at a standpoint in the healing process. The soreness is right at the tip of the elbow. Right now i can only assume the tendon is inflamed pretty good there, or I managed to pull some off the bone. If it is not 100% soon, a Dr. visit will be in order. Anyways, I was able to do bunch of incline pushups, concentration curls, and some tricep pushdowns with a moderate amount of weight, using both arms at the same time. Usually I do single arm pushdowns, but i am afraid to isolate my right arm. The pushdowns are what really aggravated the injury in the first place. So if I can improve on those, I can move on.
