Still about 20lbs from my goal (Before the new year) of total body weight… My diet the last 60 days has been pretty shoty… School has taken a toll. Looking forward to the next couple of holidays, time and food! As I look at my pictures from the other day; my mind started to associate words… a sloppy 178, fat around the waist that I HAVE to cut out… I look like a fatty sloppy joe from the high school cafeteria! haha.

Had a pretty hard workout week. Tons of front & rear squats followed by a Cybex leg press session on Monday, then did a little on Thursday, nothing much though. Fridays workout consisted of some calf raises and finished with extra heavy barbell shrugs; 365 x 30. Wondering if the stress of the weight found a week point in my knee. Patellar Tendon; sore. have iced it for a couple of days now. Planning on avoiding the legs entirely for a week at least… I suppose its not bad; I can continue to build upstairs.

Well, since I came back from Afghanistan; I worked out on base for about a month. I came back weighing about 173, dropped down to 168 while lifting in the states, then didn’t lift or workout at all for 2 weeks, drove 3200 miles in 4 days, and weighed in the other day at 162. Depressing. Back in a gym now. Goal of 190+ by the end of the year; so. 5 months. Should be a reality soon.

At the tail end of my tour. I’ve hit my deadlift & squat goals. I have just about a week to hit my clean and bench goals. I am confident I can get my bench; but the clean of 225 is going to take a bit longer i think. I’ve had a pinched nerve in my upper back for a few days now, so i’m trying to ensure it’s fully healed before I hit it up again. We’ll see.

I’ve been in Afghanistan for just over 2 months now; have gained 19lbs; and hope to gain atleast another 10 - 12 more. I’ll start cutting when I get back into the states. Keep checking in for progress pics. Take care.
