What a great post! Thank you for all the reminders. Exercise is definitely my friend, and always will be. I can't imagine my life without the benefits that exercise gives me, not only a healthy body, but also a healthy mind.

That is amazing advice. Sometimes I get into that mindset where I "have to go to the gym" instead of "I get to go to the gym." When I get into that first mindset it feels more like a chore, and I don't enjoy it as much. But I really do enjoy it, but when I am not seeing those overnight results I kind of forget. Thanks for reminding me again!

That's some great advice...I think everyone needs a reminder to slow down and be patient every once and a while. I do try and practice living in the moment but reading this was a great refresher - Thanks!

The whole mind thing, is in my opinion THE most important factor in gaining lean quality mass. Before diet, rest, nutrition, daft drugs with scary side effects,(which I freely admit to fooling myself with years ago), is that zest for life, can-do, at one with the moment, and feeling happy being there, mindset.
I find that pre-and post workout I feel a direct mind-muscle link.
Often talked about, but often overlooked; I have found that I can (with small, but brief bang, bang sessions `will` my muscles to grow, and without sounding too hippy, I am 33,male, and since at the tender age of 12,or so, had bad asthma, I mean scary bad!! As soon as I turned into a late teen got better;and this I attribute to forcing my skiny assed ill body, to do push ups; chins; and looking up to uncle Arnie.
The mind-muscle link is as strong as muscle-memory is; a whole new strata of learning for us devout disciples of bodybuilding! Food for thought anyways. God bless you brothers and sisters!!

I totally agree! Think about the journey before you head into the gym and leave....when you have earphones on its hard for people to approach you and make acquaintances, so take them off, listen to the gym noises. Same thing with cell phones. I cant stress it enough when you're with your friends and your on your phone! Check the texts when you go the the bathroom or sometime when you're alone, it alienates people and makes them feel unimportant...not good! Stay Strong xo~z
