Hey Everyone! Just wanted to remind you to check out the articles that I wrote for bodybuilding.com regarding Celiac Sprue. Now that they are not on the front page, I do not want for the importance of this to slip out of the minds of the people here on myspace. If you have not read the articles or watched my contest prep videos, I would highly recommend it. My videos are pretty funny, too! I am in the process of making new vidoes, so stay tuned for those as well. Take care…xoxo Tamar

was awesome! Bodybuilding.com did an awesome job with the broadcast! The Figure Olympia was great! My friend, Heather Green looked amazing, especially since just turning pro a few short months ago AND earning her right to compete in the Figure Olympia was a major accomplishment! I cannot wait to speak with her and see how her experience was. Elaine Goodlad looked great as did Nancy . Bob C and Shawn Ray did a great job emceeing the show! I really appreciated how Ben Weider acknowledged the American soldiers, too! God Bless the USA. Ronnie Coleman was very gracious in receiving 4th place. I was really pulling for Victor Martinez or Dexter Jackson to win, though. Jay Cutler was HUGE! They all looked great and did an amazing job. Well, those are my thoughts about the 2007 Olympia! I cannot wait to watch the Arnold Classic!!!! Maybe I will get to go there in 2008…..representing Oxygenfit.com! Have a great night everyone! XOXO Tamar

Well, I have hit the gym hard for the past couple days and eaten clean. I always feel sooo much better when I eat clean. I hate feeling crappy when I eat crappy food. I was in such a rut after my dog had surgery last week cause he almost died. So, now that I am in the back of the swing of things, I feel 100% better. I love working out and next week I am going to be hitting the gym with a friend and training the way Shannon Dey wants me to. I will be starting out Monday with Legs, so I am looking forward to that as my legs are the weakest part of my body. Well, I will keep you all posted. Congrats to: Jay Cutler and Jenny Lynn for winning in their respective sports in the Olympia. I watched it Live…it was awesome. Take care everyone…xoxo Tamar

The 3 F’s as I would like to call this! These 3 F’s are literally 3 of the most important aspects of my life! Let me expound upon this for a moment, if I may. To truly know me, you will discover that I love to have fun, exercise, and watch football. (Side note: If I had been born a guy, I would have played football and dreamt of being an NFL star!) I love football so much that I was literally depressed after the 2006 season ended, even though my Florida Gators kicked some serious Ohio State Buckeye Booties for the National Championship! Ok, Ok, so I improvised and watched the NFL channel and some repeat games until this September when football season finally resumed. (Side Note: I am going to add that the Florida Gators are 4-0 and are inching up to their rightful 1 designation again. )
I also love to have fun, whether I am spending quality time with my husband and dogs, family, or friends, watching football, competing in the NPC, modeling, reading, going to the beach, writing articles, watching football (oops….did I already mention that? ), or interacting with my fans online.
Last but not least, I truly love to exercise. I love going to the gym, hitting the weights hard, and finishing it off with some good cardio. But, I have found a new love to add to my repertoire of exercise equipment, the versatile Oxygenfit Fit-Stik and Slastix Toners! There are a plethora of exercises one can do….and all while watching Football (fun…fun…fun)! Do you see how I can get the 3 F’s working synergystically with each other?!
What do most people do while they watch TV? They sit on their fannies and they EAT! Normally what they are eating is never condusive to building a nice fanny like many of the NFL/NCAA superstars have (or my husband for that matter). My husband has a booty to die for and I know that if I do nothing but CHOW while watching football I will look more like an Offensive Lineman than a Running Back! LOL
So, how do you shape a great hind end worthy of the gridiron while watching football from the privacy of your own home? You buy the Oxygenfit Fit-Stik with the versatile Slastix Toners and you simply attach them to the Fit-Stik and you basically have your own home gym right next to your couch! Personally I would recommend atleast 2 different Slastix Toners so you have better versatility in resistance. You cannot forget the door anchor so that you can do even more exercises, too! Using this is super simple, super fun, and I promise it will help shape a Super Duper (Mark Duper was a wide reciever for the Miami Dolphins back in the 80’s)nice fanny! I like to do squats, walking lunges, stiff legged dead lifts, single leg squats, sideways walking squats with the Toning Loops, and squats using the bodyball. In addition to the legs, you can work your arms as well. As football season progresses, I am going to include photos and even videos of myself doing a routine all while watching my favorite pasttime!!!!
So ladies and gentlemen, do not forget to live by by the 3 F’s during this 2007 Football season. May the best teams win (mine of course…the Florida Gators, Miami Dolphins, and Chicago Bears)! See you on the Oxygenfit Gridiron!

OMG……how easy it has been for me to just give up and start eating like a pig! I have even lapsed into an "I do not care even if it has gluten in it" attitude! For those of you that know me, I have Celiac Sprue disease, which is a genetic autoimmune disease that literally kills your small intestinal villi, leaving one to become malnurished. I have been eating candy, cake icing, meats, cheeses, and all sorts of things that are not condusive to building a nice body! Funny thing….I still have abs, but my legs and thighs are really starting to suffer!
Let me explain why this has happened. About 2.5 weeks ago, I went back on my contest diet so that I can get lean for some upcoming photoshoots. I also wanted to be leaner so that when I go out into the field, I can really promote my new business venture with Oxygenfit.com and sell the heck out of these products. I love the Oxygenfit products! Anyway, so I went to Publix and bought Orange Roughy. I love Orange Roughy (fish), but I can never find it anywhere but from China. My husband keeps telling me not to eat that fish as I always seem to get really bad gastrointestinal pains after about the 3rd day. Silly me, like a foolish child, I go out to Publix and buy about 3 days worth of CLEAN diet food, including the Orange Roughy. To make a long story short, I basically got some major abdominal cramping after about the 3rd day. I proceeded to go to the dr. and he told me to STOP eating the Chinese fish. No Chinese seafood products…..and that there is gastrointeritis going around. I just had to wait for that to go away. I was in PAIN!!!! Stomach cramping would occur about every 15 minutes, real me over in pain, and then go away. But it was always intense!!!
Sunday evening rolls around (this was the 16th) and my dog gets really sick, too. (wait…I have not gone to the dr. yet…I did not go until Tuesday the 20th). He wakes my husband up at about 3AM and every half hour has to go outside and puke and have diarhea. I felt so badly for him. He was as sick as me…..but I was not puking (but I felt like it). I thought maybe we had the same thing. There are a few viruses that humans and dogs can share, Salmonella and Giardia being two of them. OK, so Monday we take BoBo to the vet as he was not holding even Pedialyte down. They give him some antibiotics and a subcutaneous fluids to hold him over. By Monday night he was even worse. Tuesday AM he was puking everywhere so I called my mom and we spoke about his problems. We decided that it would be best to make an appointment with the University of FLorida to see if they could help. The regular vets could not do anything for the poor guy. Tuesday afternoon I see the Dr. and he tells me I have Gastrointeritis, then I come home, load up my Tahoe with the dog and leave for Ocala. Wednesday we go to UF and they evaluate him (another 1000.00) and basically, to make a long story short, we end up having to take him back up to UF on Thursday to be admitted as an emergency patient and have his impending surgery done ASAP. My poor dog had an abscessed prostate gland that was so badly infected that it was making him septic. He was literally dying before my eyes. He had the surgery and also had his large colon and bladder tacked to his body wall so that those organs would not hurt the bilateral hernias that he also has. OK, I know this journal is LONG, but I have to explain why I am getting fat! LOL OK, all of this surgery, etc cost me 4,000.00 in less than one week and he still had to have about 2,500.00 dollars worth of surgery on the 10th of October for his hernias and cosmetic surgery to reconstruct the muscles around his anal area so that he does not have that puffy booty area. WHEN I STRESS OUT, I EAT! I eat a lot and not a lot of the good stuff. I ate 2 bags of Gluten Free cookies in one day. I potato chips like they were going out of style. I ate sweet potatoes but laden with sugar and butter. I ate a lot of red meat, and I even drank some wine and SPRITE! I NEVER drink soda!
Well, I am pretty disgusted with myself now, soooooo it is TIME to get back on the wagon of eating right and working out! Oh yeah…..I did not work out while I was gone. The most exercise I got was weed whacking around 1.5 acres of land (my parents property in Ocala) and walking around the Oaks Mall in Gainesville buying MAC makeup!
So…I just need some encouragement from my fellow bodyspacers. THis is real life and I am not pretending to be something that I am not. I know that some people look at my modeling pics and think things that are not true, but I am real, human, and well, in need of some encouragement. I know that NOBODY is perfect and I do not want to even try to be PERFECT, but I do want to be the best that I can be. Sometimes that means I need some help from others. So, if you have any words of encouragement please send them my way. Also…..I know that some people would think my husband and I are crazy for spending that kind of money on a dog, but let me explain this, too. First off, I do not nor do I ever want any kids (human). Secondly, my dog is only 5 years old and he is my best friend, other than my husband. He has a lot of special meaning to me as he is the grandson of the dog that I lost when he was young (only 4). That dog was the love of my life as my ex fiance and I had a bad relationship and put all of my love into that dog. When Boo died, I felt like I lost a piece of me, as he loved me unconditionally. Then I met Sam, my husband, and he helped to ease that pain. Two months later, baby BoBo was born and we picked him up when he was 8 weeks old. He is the grandson to Boo and he looks very much like him and acts like him. I beleive that animals are very special and God lets us connect with them (especially dogs) for a reason. They show us love that people just cannot always give and they are always there for us. I would do anything in my power to save BoBo and my husband feels the same way. We love him so much and are so greatful that the University of Florida saved his life! I would HIGHLY recommed them if you have an animal of anykind. They were great…..he got the best care in the USA! UF is known for the Vet School, and he got the best care money could buy! THank you UF! http://www.vetmed.ufl.edu/ Thank you my friends for supporting me and caring for me! If you need anything from me, just let me know. You can always reach me at: oxygenfit_tamar@yahoo.com XOXO Tamar
