Hello Everyone! This past weekend I was blessed and fortunate enough to head over to Ormond Beach, FL, to work with Shannon Dey and her husband Rob (owner of Southern Muscle Plus magazine) in what I would consider the BEST training experience that I have ever had!
I have always considered myself pretty knowledgable in regards to working out and training, but I got my butt kicked and my ego lowered a notch or two! Let me make this clear….this camp is not for the faint of heart! Shannon and Rob are the nicest people, but they take training, dieting, and competing seriously! They treat everyone with respect and they definitely earn their respect! I knew that I would enjoy this and I trusted that they knew what they were doing, but I had NO idea how good they truly were!
I heard from a few other Bombshell Camp graduates that the classes were tough and boy were they right! My muscles have never felt this sore, but it feels incredible! Their club in which they train, and own, is gorgeous, clean, and has everything in it that you could possibly want or need! We had to practice posing infront of them and our peers! Posing is not easy, but I think I truly got the hang of it! It seems like that when I got up to pose with everyone I did not get critiqued, so I must have been doing something right!
To all the ladies interested in the Bombshell Academy…..I say do it! All the ladies got along well! We were like peas in a pod. There was not catty BS, we shared stories, and had a ton of laughs!
I cannot wait to do another Bombshell Camp with Shannon and Rob!!!! This is something definitely worth investing in, and it is always nice to get to the east coast of Florida and enjoy the beautiful Atlantic Ocean!
Thanks Shannon for putting your heart and soul into these camps and for being willing to help so many other women out!!! Good luck to you at the Europa in August!!! I am sure that I will see you soon!!!!
Ladies….don’t forget…..contact Shannon about camp! She will get back with you! She is great about communicating and extremely down to earth! www.shannondey.net is her website
Well, that is about it for now. I am waiting for my contest diet to be prepared. Once I get that, I will be taking my first…before photo for my upcoming shows in October. I am doing the NPC Southeastern in Longwood, FL and then the Pro/Am in West Palm. Stay tuned for my progress. I also will be adding some new photos to my website. I had a mini shoot with Rob (Shannon’s husband) and I will have some new content. See you all later!!! XOXO Tamar

Well, I am not one to cry the blues and pussy-foot around, but I am in trouble. I desperately want to compete, but it is either going to be compete and eat, or pay my bills and hope that nothing gets taken away.
I am not asking anyone on here for money, but I am certainly looking for any type of legitimate sponsorship that can help me to achieve my goals. I need some people with faith in me and what I can do. After my beautiful experience at the Southern States, I know that I can do this and I know that I can do very well at competing. I was told by everyone that I have the right look and a great physique (just needed to be a bit leaner) and that I could turn pro within one calendar year. But, as great as that is, it is impossible to do without some financial help! Yes, I know that I am married, but my husband pays all of our main bills and then after that we have nothing left over for extras let alone emergencies.
If I were to be sponsored by someone or even a few people, I would be more than happy to repay them with services such as booth work, spokesmodeling, or even a photoshoot that they could use all my pics for advertising, etc. I have a marketable look and above that I am really intelligent and super nice. I hate the position that I am in because I am crying all the time and I do not even have the energy to make it to the gym. I really got myself into a bind by doing the Southern States, and I even got to save a few bucks by staying with my mother in law.
If anyone has any ideas on how I can do this legitimately (I do not do porn, escort work, etc), then please let me know. Any advice and ideas would be highly appreciated! Thank you so much! Take care and God Bless. Tamar

Wow….I did it! I finally competed, followed through with something important to me, and I had a blast doing it!
There were 10 girls in my heighth class and I did not place in the Top 5, but I am happy with that! I feel like I did a great job for my first show, with no professional help, and with a disease that is relatively new to me.
The Southern States is a very well run show, though it was LONG! There were so many competitors that it just took FOREVER! The only thing that I would change is by making it a 3 day show if they are going to leave the Men’s Fitness Event in there. The guys have to come out on stage 3 separate times and it really took a lot of time.
I was nervous going out on stage the first time, but after getting out there I was fine! I actually had fun. I can honestly say that not winning left me HUNGRY to get out there and do it again! I will be competing in exactly 4 weeks in Daytona, FL at the Debbie Kruck Classic and then again the followin week at the Florida State Championships in Orlando, Florida.
I KNOW that I can turn Pro at this sport. It is just a matter of time, fine tuning a few details, and getting a bit leaner in the legs. But, for someone who did this on their own, I cannot complain about the way I looked, especially for being 100% natural.
I got to meet some great PRO’s, too, and I spotted a few Pro’s that I did not get the chance to say hi to! Stay tuned for the video series with my Pro Interviews. But, here are the people that I got to meet. Victor Martinez, Shannon Dey (who I already knew), Maria Bellando (who I already knew), Ahmad Haidar and Dayanna Cadeau (she was a judge), Deke Warner, and Pete Fancher. The Pro’s that I SAW, but did not get the chance to speak with were Marcus Haley, Cathy LeFrancois, and Mark Dugdale.
All in all, I had a GREAT time and I cannot wait to compete again! I will keep you all posted….thanks for reading, thanks for your support! Love you……Tamar

Well, all that I can say now is that I am READY to do this show! I am ready to EAT, COMPETE, and HAVE A LOT of FUN! I am scared about meeting the other competitiors….I hope the girls are all nice! I do not like it when there is jealousy issues and people trying to sabotage others! If there are girls that look better than me, well, I am going to be happy for them!!! I am happy for whoever will win the show! It is an accomplishment just getting up on that stage and since this is my first show, I am not going for blood! LOL Winning would be nice, but making the Top 5 will make me happy! I try to be optimistic without being cocky and overly conceited about anything. I do not think I am the greatest thing since sliced bread. I know that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and I also know that the judges look for many different things. So, I am going to do my best as I know everyone else is going to do their best!!!!
I am looking forward to seeing my friend Ava Cowan! SHe will be working the Bodybuilding.com Booth on Friday and Saturday as I did at her show back at the Fitness Universe in June. Ava is such a great person and a super competitior! Be on the look out for her upcoming shows later in the year!
Well, I am going to get ready to hit the gym. Light weights and lots of cardio still! Trying to burn off as much fat as possible!!!!
See you all later…and see you at the show??? !!!! XXOOXXOOXXOO Tamar

Everyone that knows me KNOWS that I love carbos……any kind of carbs, but mainly the sweet kind!!!!! So, since I have been pretty darn good on this diet, I have started to go a bit crazy!!!!
We all saw the video explanation of my egg throwing temper tantrum in my home. Ok, so it was funnier than heck, but still, egg throwing….a 30 year old woman……hhhhmmmm…..does not seem normal, does it? LOL
Then Monday I was at the bank and this old lady really ticked me off! She was driving like an idiot and then she was staring at me! I really wanted to roll down my window and say something NASTY to her, but I let it be….I got better revenge….I asked the teller to ignore her for a bit. Well, it was funny cause she was SO FAT that she could not even get out of her car to put her deposit in the little case that swoops up to the tellers inside. Normally I do not say anything mean about people and their weight issues, but she made me MAD! As I drove off, I honked my horn, waived and smiled at her! It was great!!! I know it really ticked her off!!!!!
Today, I was at the gym, minding my own business and this man comes up to me and tells me that I am doing the lat pull down wrong!!! OK, NO-Body tells me how to work out!! I do not go around the gym telling others how to work out, EVEN when I see some CRAZY CRAP in the gym! No…I mind my own business! So I tell him I know what I am doing, I am getting ready to compete VERY soon and that I do not need his help!!!!! I was totally mean to him! That is SO not like me to be mean to people! So after about 45 minutes of stewing about him having the GALL to tell me how to work out, I finish my back training and get over to the cardio machine. As I am observing this fellow with his training partner, I almost start crying!!! I know that if I do not get my MEAN ASS off the cardio machine, I will not be able to finish cause I was such a "B" to him!!!! He was very gracious in accepting my appology and I told him there was no excuse for me biting off his head. Hopefully……..I will never do that again! I felt like a total jack ass! Atleast I did the right thing and appologized to him! Heaven forbid I never fot the opportunity to again….you never know what is going to happen in this crazy world we live in!
Well, those are a few stories of my low carb rage antics that I have experienced….I am hoping that I can keep them under control over the next 8 days! Well, I am off to bed……ciao….XOXO Tamar

Well, I am ready for this to happen! I am ready to EAT a huge Gluten Free Pecan Pie from the Whole Foods Market, and I am ready to stop doing 2 hours of cardio a day!!!!
I can honestly say that I am going to try to stay in lean shape all year long from now on! I do not want to have to do that much cardio again for as long as I live! Since the Celiac Sprue actually helps to keep me leaner, I do not think it will be that hard.
As for the Southern States, I am excited about competing, but apprehesive at the same time. I have spent A LOT of money preparing for this show and I do not know how well I will do since I have done everything myself. I could not afford to spend the extra money on a nutrionist/trainer. I am really hoping to place in the Top 5 since this is my first time out. Winning would be nice, but I am not one to think that I am going to win. I admit that I want to win, but it is so subjective I have no idea if the judges will like my look or not.
All in all this has been fun. I am 99.9 percent sure that I will do it again, especially if I have to train for another national qualifier! I DO want to earn my right to go to a National show before this year is over.
I am pretty hungry and very tired. I am sick of cooking and cleaning dishes and clothes all the time!!!! LOL Thank the good Lord that I have a husband that is a saint and that has helped me along the way with cooking, cleaning, and support! He is my best friend, and I appreciate all of the support that he gives me for following my dreams!
I have decided to do another sport to help me train for figure! I am going to get back into swimming! I do not want to compete in swimming, but it is AWESOME on the joints as well as great cardiovascular exercise!!! I was super lean when I swam, so I am looking into swimming very soon!
Well, that is my current update. My newest video is also up on Bodybuilding.com! It is a hoot!!!! I love doing these videos for them and seeing what they end up looking like!
Well, Happy 4th of July to all of you!!!!! XOXO Tamar
