End of March update

Hiya beautiful people!!  I hope everyone is doing well and keeping up with their routine (and, switching it up, cuz, ya know, that muscle confusion stuff really works ;) )!

I’m doing well… sorta.  Unfortunately, I injured my right leg over a week ago (I don’t think it’s a stress fracture, though my doc seems to think so… I’m currently waiting for x-ray results), and though it’s better this week (I took a whole week off without running or anything, super hard for cardio-crackheads as myself! ;) ), I’m concerned about running the LJ half in late April.  I’m going to see how it feels on Wednesday when I run on it.  A part of me thinks I can run 7-8 miles and walk the rest of it if necessary… but it’s so hilly, and it has a 3 hour limit, so we’ll see.  VTD, Wendy, TLC, Pheid., Suzy - would you still run it? :/

On the social front, I haven’t been as busy as Stormi’s two-dates-in-one-night (ha, go girl!), but I am very interested in one (like total butterflies, it’s pretty darn awesome!).  It’s still so early, though, so I’m trying to control my feelings of liking him *too* much (a very bad pixi habit), but yeah… I really enjoy his company and he’s introducing me to new things I’ve always wanted to get into (i.e., more gnarly camping/hiking, rock climbing, etc.).

As for paragliding - my friend surprised me with a tandem flight and it was AWE…. SOOOOME!!!  It was INSANELY fun to run off a cliff and next thing you know - the last step is in the air and you’re FLYING!!  I’m still waiting to get pics from the flight, but once I do I’ll definitely post.  I’m very motivated to get licensed for it… it’s just coughing up the fundage in order to do so!

Anyway, I hope all is well and everyone else is injury-free!  I’ll catch up with you soon and send my love and support!  Much love to y’all :) xo

Hey Pixi! Rest!!!! Don’t make your leg worse. I’m glad to hear you are doing well.

Recover first. If you can put together 3 weeks of say 75 miles with an 8, then 10 before the 13.1, then go for. Good luck, and enjoy your journey. Good luck with your butterfly farm, and jumping off cliffs with wings.

pixi girl deep down you know the answer. Rest you dont want to do more damage…stress fractures are not something to run on ….try to see how things go in the next few weeks…anyways so happy to have you on face book now i can write to you all the time…and you cant go MIA that way…

Do you want to hear what I would do, or do you want to hear what I would tell you to do? LOL! You should see what the doc says. If it’s a stress fracture, you need to rest. There will be other races. Good luck with the boy! Have fun! ;-)

Hello my friend! I’m agreeing with Wendy…def, listen to the professional and follow his advice, you sure would hate to make it worse!! A few weeks of recovery is so much better than a whole season off, right?? And what is one race??? There are soooo many more, the season has just begun!
I’m glad to hear you have met a nice fellow and that you have such common interests!!! Tandam jumping?? Yikes!! I need both feet on the ground at all times!! ;) Sound like you are having a blast! Good for you!!!!

Wow! I injured my right leg too….but I am too stubborn to see a doctor. Ohh…BTW, long time no see! Yeah, I am a slacker! I have been to the gym, just not here. Granted I used to be more motivated. I am glad to hear that you met somebody! the paragliding sounds awesome. I have never done anything exciting like that. I promise to stop by more!!
