End of March update

Monday, March 23rd, 2009

Hiya beautiful people!!  I hope everyone is doing well and keeping up with their routine (and, switching it up, cuz, ya know, that muscle confusion stuff really works ;) )!

I’m doing well… sorta.  Unfortunately, I injured my right leg over a week ago (I don’t think it’s a stress fracture, though my doc seems to think so… I’m currently waiting for x-ray results), and though it’s better this week (I took a whole week off without running or anything, super hard for cardio-crackheads as myself! ;) ), I’m concerned about running the LJ half in late April.  I’m going to see how it feels on Wednesday when I run on it.  A part of me thinks I can run 7-8 miles and walk the rest of it if necessary… but it’s so hilly, and it has a 3 hour limit, so we’ll see.  VTD, Wendy, TLC, Pheid., Suzy - would you still run it? :/

On the social front, I haven’t been as busy as Stormi’s two-dates-in-one-night (ha, go girl!), but I am very interested in one (like total butterflies, it’s pretty darn awesome!).  It’s still so early, though, so I’m trying to control my feelings of liking him *too* much (a very bad pixi habit), but yeah… I really enjoy his company and he’s introducing me to new things I’ve always wanted to get into (i.e., more gnarly camping/hiking, rock climbing, etc.).

As for paragliding - my friend surprised me with a tandem flight and it was AWE…. SOOOOME!!!  It was INSANELY fun to run off a cliff and next thing you know - the last step is in the air and you’re FLYING!!  I’m still waiting to get pics from the flight, but once I do I’ll definitely post.  I’m very motivated to get licensed for it… it’s just coughing up the fundage in order to do so!

Anyway, I hope all is well and everyone else is injury-free!  I’ll catch up with you soon and send my love and support!  Much love to y’all :) xo

March Update

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

Hiya peeps!!  Wanted to check in to make sure everyone was behaving and stuff ;)   I’m doing well, still running super lots (up to 30-35 miles/week), biking (same mileage as running), and doing the one body part a week routine, 2-3 exercises for each part.  I admit to not having gone back to CF yet, but I did have some kettlebell training with my friend recently so it’s kinda like it… just not really ;)

I’ve still been on the active/adventurous streak when it comes to my recreational activities and/or dating, though!  I’m planning on some camping trips within the next three months, with a nice balance of a girly spa weekend in Napa.  I’m TOTALLY getting a hair up my arse and seriously contemplating getting certified in paragliding.  It’s a steep $3k start-up for all the lessons and equipment and stuff, but once I’m all certified it’s an $8 day pass to take flight at an absolute bad-arse beach/cliffs location about five minutes from where I live!  So… I’m figuring out the logistics and how long it would take to cough up the money… I’ve never been one for SCUBA training like most of my SD peeps, but I think this one is right up my alley!

Speaking of, I’ve met a couple guys that are totally right up my alley!  Obviously I don’t want to jinx anything, but they’re totally my types actively - campers, rock climbers, etc., and physically they’re opposite of what I’d go for - leaner more than muscular, shorter… have HAIR! lol  So… we’ll see!

Anyway, I hope all is well and if you’re going to the Arnold - HAVE A BLAST AND TAKE PICS!! :)   Miss and love you much, everyone!!
