November 19th update

*added* - HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SUZY SUNSHINE!!  So stoked you got your pink bike!!*

Yikes - I could’ve sworn I posted a blog every day, but somehow all of them got deleted?! ;)   Ha, okay, maybe not… I know!  I suck!  You could punish me by striking a wet noodle across my arse but chances are I’ll like it. ;)   Anyway…

Hi!

So let’s see, what’s been going on in Pixi-Land: been weight training consistently, and I’m getting stronger!  I’m doing bicep curls at 20’s easy-peasy (about 3-4 sets of 10-12, sometimes 22.5 for the final rep), 70-75’s for tricep pulldowns, 70’s-80’s for lats, 17.5-20’s for arnold presses, 60’s for seated press, etc.  I love doing more reps, but do find that 5×5’s every 5th week or so helps.  I’ve also found that taking more breaks help (i.e., only one body part a week, except for delts/abs (every 2-3 days)).

This has especially helped with my running (as has abs, since I never really liked them before but have incorporated them 3 times a week now and actually look forward to it, especially on the decline bench).  I’m still training for the half-marathon in January and my longest so far has been 8 miles (with two sessions of 4-5 milers and one speed session every week).  I’ve cross-trained with spin classes (1-2 times a week) and/or biking, and notice my fitness levels have gone up endurance-wise.  Somehow, the arm swing feels a lot more efficient, which I’m attributing to the weights.

Diet… could use work.  It’s getting better, though, but with the ‘givins coming up and then the holidays, I’m definitely going to have to put in some systems for self-control.

Men… D and I saw each other the other night (no one was surprised that we’d eventually cross paths, in this case I had some books of his still) and we had a big cry-fest.  It’s one of those things that I’m sure I’ll look back and be glad it happened (especially since other than his dog dying, that was the only other time I’ve seen him cry), but right now it’s like re-opening a scab that had just healed over.  Other than him, I met up with the AZ guy - no chemistry, but he was nice!  I’ve also dated a physical therapist, triathlete/sales guy, CF instructor, and kettlebell instructor/teacher… no real chemistry with any of them.  There’s a couple that I’m starting to talk to, but that’s pretty much it.

Anyway, I will catch up with all of you lovebugs, but I hope everyone is doing well and charging on!!  And I definitely have to give a HUGE thanks and GINORMOUS bear hug to all who have touched base and wanted to make sure I was okay… it’s meant more than you know and y’all are true homies to the core… I love and appreciate you so much!! :)

XOXO..A man with fantastic chemistry, animal magnetism, the body of a god, and beautiful heart and spirit is coming you way.

  14. Maddi Says:

A man with animal magnetism, the body of a god, and beautiful heart and spirit is coming you way. Not only this, but he is going to worship the ground you walk on. (This might become a little dull for you after awhile…but deal with it.) The chemistry will be out of this world. Thus sayeth Goddess Maddi. Keep your eyes open. :)

    "I got a rock."

    :)

Okay, had to use that punchline.

One that perhaps no one will get. WHAT ELSE IS NEW???

    Maddi, who’s coming my way?

Pix, wishing you a very happy holiday season and 2009, of course!
