Ugh
I just bought a thing that is supposed to tell the distance and calories and such.. I'm hoping that will help because the jogs that I have gone on so far it is tough to know how many miles I have gone w/ out a set path. i think I usually round up when I guess on how far I've run... so hopefully this will keep me accountable.
Beginning to run-train
I am just starting to actually run outdooors. I usually just keep my workouts in the gym, and do cardio on machines. I want increase my lung capacity though and eventually run some races. My ultimate goal is a half marathon but I will begin with several 5ks. Since I do mainly do cardio in the gym I am very out of shape when it comes to running outside. I find that the two are very different. I can go on the eliptical for 20-30 minutes easily but to run outside for 30 minutes straight is def. a challenge. I'm beginning with 21/2 miles and will increase each week.
