/> Since my grand daughters were born on Jan 1st, working out has been a major challenge! Takes me back in time to when my kids were little … I think that’s when I gave up on working out before. My own fault .. I’m kind of an all or nothing type of person. So, I’ve decided I’m going to do what I can when I can this time and hopefully it will turn into a full routine again. I’m going to set small goals at first and keep adding to them … which will probably drive me crazy! LOL Just want to thank all of you who have given me continued support through these past few months. My new goal is to do the treadmill 6 days a week and 200 crunches every other day to get rid of the extra weight I’ve put on around my mid section. I did do weights and met my goal today
Here is an updated photo of Lindsey and Lauren getting ready to go out in their first snow! The other is of Melissa and Lauren. We haven’t been able to catch Lindsey in the right mood and naked to get her pic yet!! LOL

For women only ……. LOL
Just wanted to see how many men couldn’t resist reading this because of the title! (James) LOL Be brave and leave a comment if I got u! Seriously, I’ve had some emails asking what I do for my skin so I thought I’d write a blog on it. First, let me say that I’m just lucky to take after my grandmother and look younger than my age, which was not fun in Jr high and high school! I am enjoying it now though I do notice my skin looks much better when I am eating right, exercising and especially NOT STRESSED! I’ve tried lots of expensive wrinkle creams and they are always too harsh for me. I have found two things that work and are CHEAP!! Yea!! I use extra virgin olive oil (yes, the cooking stuff - you can mix your fav fragrance with it) and Fruit of the Earth Vitamin E cream ($3 for 2 jars) I’m always on the look out for new stuff though, so if you have a favorite let me know Use them both right after a shower before drying off!
As for tanning … I grew up on a farm and worked in the sun every freakin’ summer!! Loved the tan I got and never used sunscreen! I’m starting to notice the affect it had on my skin now though! Can anybody recommend any good self tanners or those spray tan things??

I got this weight vest that holds 40lbs for Christmas! Shamefully, I am just now putting it to use! So, I thought I’d share this funny story with you guys! The vest is the type that you put over your head and straps on the sides. It has weights in the back and the front. So I was planning to use the 40lbs to do some calf raises … only I can’t lift it over my head since my shoulder still gives me problems!! So I decide to hang it on the squat rack bar and have to bend underneath it to get it over my head and onto my shoulders without choking myself! LOL It worked!! Not, so easy to put back up though The moral of this story …. where there is a will there is a way!! I’m just glad I work out at home and not at ShanBL’s gym or she’d be writing this blog instead of me with a whole new light I’m sure!! LOL

Finally, it’s been a year since I gave up drinking cokes!! I thought I would never win that battle! I actually grew up on a farm where I had coke in my baby bottle! Been drinking it like crazy my whole life! My husband claims that’s why I look younger than my age … he says it must have embalmed me! LOL Anyway, all I’ve had this past year to drink is water, orange juice, superpump, and protein drinks!! Well, and the occasional margarita!! Woohoo!!

Hey guys! I’ve seen lat pulldowns done a couple of ways. Type A - while sitting straight up, using a wide grip pull straight down to your chest then behind the neck. Type B - Leaning back at an angle, using a wide grip pull down at an angle to your chest. Can anyone tell me the difference between the two or which way is best?
Nutrition tip of the day: Try seasoning chicken with Cavender’s all purpose Greek Seasoning and pepper before grilling! I use chicken tenders so there is lots of flavor You probably all know this one but on the off chance I thought I’d share!

Okay, so I’m trying to eat enough protein lately (to keep up with Joey44) so I was boiling some eggs the other night to have for the next day. I put them on and set the timer on my oven. I decided to go ahead and take a bath while I waited. In the meantime, my husbands notices the timer on and turns it off (the cooktop is separate from the oven and he thought it somehow got left on for no reason) About an hour later, I’m already in bed and hear some popping noises (sounds like someone hitting the window) So, I try to get my hubby to go check. He, of course, says Oh, its nothing just the kids in the kitchen. So, I wait a little while and hear it again. I decide to go check myself … then, he gets up cause he can’t let me go alone lol Yeah, you guessed it… eggs all over the kitchen! Have you ever smelled burnt eggs? Took me 30 min to clean it all up and the whole house smelled like burnt eggs the next morning! ugh!!! It’s really hard to eat them after that smell!! Guess I am now officially the worst cook ever!!!

Well, my birthday is in 13 more days. I had hoped to be in better shape than this by then! I am beginning to see some abs but still not where I want to be I have made a lot of progress and learned a lot along the way though Thanks to everybody on this site that kept me motivated and taught me what they knew!! Guess I’m just gonna have to set a new goal! Hopefully, the results will come a little quicker since I know a little bit more about weights and nutrition!

We celebrated my daughter-in-laws birthday this weekend and I ate enough birthday cake for like 6 people..you would think I’d never had cake before!! Not good for my Ab Quest!! On the upside, I did workout extra hard Still keeping up with the ab exercises regularly! I hate that guilty feeling you get when you enjoy some birthday cake though! I have all the time in the world … one day of cake shouldn’t make me feel sooooo guilty in the big scheme of things! I feel better now… thanks for listening
