Creatine

December 10, 2007

Started up a cycle of creatine after my workout today. I was going to wait untill after the holidays because its always tough sticking to your diet this time of year. fo r instance, my girl made a crap load of cookies and I mean like 8 hours of baking, for a bake sale thing at work and for presents for some friends and family. I must have had at least 8 cookies every day for the past 2 weeks while my eggs cooked every morning. and a bunch more when im studying or on the couch late at night. Good news is I killed the plate that was sitting out and I told the wife not to break any more out because I have no self control. hahah.

 Any way back to the creatine, I was going to buy some cell mass but was really disappointed when I saw the price. Here in Ontario it’s 79 dollars for a jug. The last creatine I took was cell tech hardcore, and it was shit, I did notice a diffrence I got a little bigger but it disappeared when the bottle did. So I ended up just getting good old creatine monohydrate GNC brand. GNC never lets me down, I used this creatine the first time I tried it and IT was great and the muscle stayed. Also I  didnt have to drink the equivalent of 1 1/2 cans of pop in sugar every time I slammed it back.

Well hopefully it does the trick again. Oh yea another reason I grabbed it was because they had a 2 4 1 deal going on if you have the member card. so basicaly I have twice the creatine for a third of the price then I would have if I bought the cell mass. Gotta say I was itching to try cellmass, maybe I’ll order it from the states if this stuff doesnt put out. via bb.com of course.

On top of changing my workout and supping with creatine I am slowing down all my reps and doing some one armed excercises so I can cheat on my last set easier.

Ok time to study(final in the morning). Lift heavy and grow HUGE.

mixing it up

I took last week off because i was so friggin busy with school. i wasnt getting enough sleep to have enough recovery from the work outs. but i only screwed my diet twice by eating less then my 3000-4000 calories.

but hey I got through it and since my body had the rest I decided to switch up my training and do 2 body parts a day 4 times a week, instead of my one a day (except arms) 5 days a week. Putting this together I pretty much ripped it out of one of my MF issues and changed just alittle to keep some of my favs like deadlifts.

So now Im doing mon-chest and tris, tues-legs and calves, wed off, thurs- back and bi’s and fri- shoulders and traps. Im going to post the changes to my workout on my page soon. Also Im going to post my new body stats this weekend since it is the begining of the month even though i made more strength gains then size gains last month im pretty sure. I dont know the tape will tell me I guess.

Oh yes and with this workout I am also slowing down my reps to at least 2 sec neg and 2 sec positve. The past 2 months I’ve been doing more explosive movements and lower reps but this sucker is more of one warm up and then 5 sets of 8 for some and 10 for others.

I tell you though my chest is torn from the switch in the routine. Not sure if it was slowing it down or just the change in exercises.

Alright bed time 2 finals tommorow.

wrist straps

   Well I’ve got to the point now where I can’t rely on my grip on deads and bent over rows. So I went and bought some wrist straps. Definetly helps you get those few extra reps on your heavy sets. And at 4.88 for the pair its a no brainer.

   270lbs used to slip out by the second and third rep from the sweaty hand syndrome, but not any more. Cracked out my 10 @ 180lbs then 6 @ 230lb, 4 @ 270lbs2 @ 290. Then after staring at my training log seeing that im only 10 off 300lbs I went for it and cracked out 1 solid lift and a half lift then I took a few breaths went again and got it about half the last rep. I am sure if I had someone yelling at me I would have got it a second time but F it I will get it next week …..

switching gyms

Im swithching gyms from good life which is about 20 minutes away. to a stay fit gym which just opened no more then 3 min from my house. boo ya! i went in today and asked if i could have a free day pass to see if i like it there. and its a yes. all the machines are new benches barbells weights etc. the locker room doesnt smell like my other gym not like i spend much time in there other then showering but its a plus for sure. also the place is owned and most of the staff are either amateur BB or amateur martial arts guys. ( theres a ring and all that jazz in there mixed MA training) and the last good thing i can say so far is its only 25 bucks a month. im paying 21 bi-weekly over at goodlife.

friggin scale

well i weighed again today and the scale has tipped higher again ! 208 the scale read!? we will see on friday. it was 203 2 weeks ago? i think. im friggin stunned. i cant belive the gains i mean im pushing more weight on all my moves but wow. im going to take measurements and new photos this sat or friday.

mmmmmmm Food

So i got back in to the gym about a month ago now and have noticed some pretty good strength gains. but i havent measured anything because i figured i would do it on the first of every month after i joined this site. which was sometime this month.

any way at the gym they have a crappy little bathroom scale so today after my workout i jumped on to see what i weigh and was thrown back it said 203. thats crazy i thought i was 185 in sept when i went to my doctor is that possible. so i took my shower and went up stairs where the good scales are ( one of those balance beam suckers and  a digi one that looks pretty expensive.) measured my self on both of those and i am weighing between 200.3 on the digi and 203 on the balance so even at the lowest ive gained 15 pounds in 1 month of training!

I have never experinced that kind of gain before so im am super stocked on that. and now i know that eating 6-7 times a day and all those protein shakes really make a huge diffrence. also one thing that i started doing that i think really helped that i didnt do before when i trained and ate like an animal is i started taking a multi vitamin, one in the am with breakfast and one right after i train. and i also make sure i eat at least 3 whole eggs a day, usauly at breakfast but some times on sandwhich or a lunch or dinner omlete.

in closing wow 15 lbs ….. i hope these gains dont slow down to much. i hope as long as i keep throwing more plates on and changing my intensity every 2 weeks i will be a giant in the next few years. NATURALY.
