Awake the younger you within…

July 12, 2007
It’s amazing what the body can do when the mind command and the body obey!!!…Who would guess I’d be able to lift 90 Lbs on the Leg Press Machine!!! Yesterday was hard…I had my weekly training session, and we worked legs (hardest part of the body to workout, to my opinion). From Hack Squat Machine, David decided to change machine and go to Leg Press…oh Lord!!! I was starting to say, at the 3rd rep, “I can’t!!!”…David stopped me right there and say: “no negative thinking!!!”…So I took a deep breathe and follow his advice, guess what…it worked!!!…So tonight, T trained alone (with a terrible migraine) and worked back. It was horrible because the pain was so intense. One of the personal trainer noticed my pain (I was holding my head in between sets) so he asked me: “It can’t be that bad?”…I replied”I have a terrible migraine”, so he got me 2 excedrin migraine (which worked only after my workout was done!!!)…But I did it! No matter what, I decided that I won’t let go any obstacles interfere with my focus on getting ready for my competition. I’m used to deal with pain anyway, so I just do what I’ve gotta do…So, one advice here: don’t listen to yourself (the weak self) but instead, use visualization. It works!!! I guarantee you, I’ll be in the first 3 places at the competition…and most of all, I’m not a quiter. So, my point is, be strong in your head, stay focus, and the rest will follow!!!
