Today is day 2 of a five day heat. I can’t drink enough water to stay hydrated, I have a shocking headache but tried to train.
Today I got through 6 sets of Bent over Rows but only got 2 sets of deadlifts out, its a struggle. I got up at 6 this morning but it was still a scorcher. Its midday hear and I’m already onto my fourth litre of water. I am not looking forward to the next couple of days

Well I’m sitting here waiting for my sister to get here to train and thought its time to get back into life like I want to live it.
The last blog I posted was back on the 18th June of this year and 11 June was the last time I posted a workout entry. Without making it sound like I am making any excuses, but this was the same time I had 3 assignments due and the following month had 3 written exams towards my PT qualifications.
Training over winter went well, I was able to get my weight upto by around 7 kilo and maintain the same body fat of around 21%. Over the Aussie winter I came across CROSSFIT and have changed my direction of training and am now focussing on the CROSSFIT theories of training.
I have only just found that the suspected gout I was told I was suffering by my GP is actually a misalignment of some of the bones in my foot so I off to a Podietrist this week to get that sorted and get back into the running.
I intend to post results of my week on here each week, so please if you notice I haven’t posted anything for a while give me a kick up the arse and keep me in line.
Hope you all have a safe and enjoyable xmas

Well I’ve done something this week with training that alot of people have trouble with.
I left my ego at home when I trained with weights this week and I feel great.
I trained chest on Monday (its thursday morning in Australia), I lowered the weight and did more sets and higher reps. Overall I ended pushing more weight for the session. I concentrated on my form and going throu the entrire range of the movement and I could really feel the whole stretch it was great.
Did the same Tuesday for Biceps, first exercise was Dumbell Curls I lowered the weight and pushed out 5 sets of 15 the pump at the end of my first exersice was just amazing.
Yesterday was the big day, did back and went from 5 exercises down to the 3 basic Lat Pulldown, Bent Over Rows and Deadlifts. Lat Pulldowns and Rows 2 warm up sets and 6 working sets. At the end of the Pulldowns I couldn’t beleive it my tshirt was feeling tight hehehehe.

It annoy’s the hell out of me that the people that should support you the most, family and friends can’t always be there for you.
I decided a while ago that to reach my goals and for health reasons, I need to make some changes to my life style. Over the past couple of month I’ve suffered 3 severe cases of gout. Due to this and the fact I want a six pack you wear not the one you drink by November 1st this year I haven’t had a beer for almost a month now.
I don’t want people to think I’m an alcoholic but I do really enjoy having a beer, but I want a 6 pack more than I want a beer.
The frustrating thing is that I wish people would congratulate me instead of constantly asking when I’m having a beer again, or saying I foolish for doing this and that my life is going to be boring without drinking.
If only they knew how good it is to get out and train with the sun coming up.
That enough for this rant

I started today on MUSASHI RE-ACTIVATE Pre Workout drink. Its there Nitric Oxide formula that new for the market. When I first took it it didn’t give me a buzz like No - Explode, but during my workout I left quite strong and performed extremely well. I’ll try it for a week and see how it goes.

For a major part of my adult life I’ve been unfit, unhealthy and at one stage I was regarded as being clinically Obese.
Over the past 5 years I have done what I consider as a great job to get from 106 kg to where I am today. I decided that over our winter (its autum and just had 8 days over 35c breaking a 80 year record) I would try to bulk up as much as possible.
The problem I’ve encountered is 3 fold;
( 1 ) The amount of food I need to consume. When I was overweight it wasn’t that I ate alot, I just ate the wrong foods and drank more Coca Cola than anyone should drink. My sister comented many times while I was cutting up that she was amazed at the amount of food I was now consuming. Now that I am trying to bulk I’m eating double what I was for cutting and I just can’t do it.
( 2 ) I’ve work so hard to loose the fat that was sitting comfortably around my waist. I now that with the bulking stage a certain amount of body fat will be put onto the frame. Unfortunately I am not yet mentally strong enough to deal with this.
( 3 ) I miss the cardio aspect of training, I love getting out for a run and a bike ride and unfortunately I can do the extra eating needed to keep up with the cardion training I wish to do
Thus I will be returning to my enitial goal of getting my body fat below 10%, wish me luck

G’Day All,
I writing a new training program today, I’m doing every body part once a week with calves being done twice. Doing 4 sets of 8 to 10 reps this is for when I start my bulking phase at the end of February. Hoping to lift alot each session and give the body a week to recover.
Any thoughts anyone.
Thanks Paul

I felt tired this morning so I didn’t train, I decided to train after work. I should have pushed throu this morning. Its the end of a very long week at work, I was to train shoulders and traps. Took my No-Explode, got throu Barbell Press and started dumbell press and only got one set of I was spent. I don’t know how people train after a days work. I’m ready for bed.
Good news is today on the scales my body fat measured in at 17.6%, only 7.6% to go to my goal.
