Shades of Green.

Saturday, January 17th, 2009

I think I’m turning green, I don’t mean environmental, I mean neon!
But far from it being all those dedicated pre dawn hours lifting and
sweating at the gym turning me into the hulk, it’s the new protein
supplement my trainer put me on. "Spirulina" seaweed with more
vitamins than an entire health store. It recommeds putting it in a
smoothie. (Unfortunately it’s rather pungent and sticky)I recommend
putting it far back in the cupboard, far, far back in the cupboard,
preferably behind the pop tarts and the peanut butter where you can
easily forget about it, somewhere close to Narnia if possible! But I’m
trudging on, 3 teaspoons a day that somehow magically morph into about
eight gallons of effervescent slime that insists on clinging to the
bottom of the glass.
But I do think all this healthy living lark is making me a lttle more
capable of staying on board my horse especially since these days that
soft lovely Irish mist and fresh breeze have turned into gale force
winds and tidal wave droplets. Rex has decided as a proper dressage
horse he deserves an indoor and refuses to cooperate down the windy
side of the arena. Apart from bad weather behaviour he is going
extremely well. I was stewarding at one of our regional shows last
week and got a sneak peek at the competition in the young horse
classes. I’m sure he is ready to give them a run for their money,I was
hoping to have him competing well enough for the four year old class
at our first ever internatinal dressage show here in Ireland but it’s
been cancelled due to lack of sponsorship.
Rex has also become very popular with a few fashion photographers
lately with two shoots in the last wekk alone, I was worried about all
the equipment temptingly dotted around the stable and his need to bite
everything in front of him but he was as good as gold and there are
some beautiful shots of him, I’ll post them as many places as I can
before my connection goes!! And I’ll add some links so the non yahoo
members can check them out!.
