Are you asking or telling?
I posted this on the O/35 forum after listing to a lot of bullsh!t on the sport of bodybuilding. I was just tired of all the stupid idiot remarks about the sport from peeps that are completely clueless.

Who here reeeally loves bbing? Who here follows it like you might lets say ….. football, baseball, golf?
Who here knows about Nationals? What’s the gossip? Who knows, without looking it up, where National is held this year? Or where it was last year or the year before? Who’s been to a National show. How bout JR Nationals? The North Americas? Who knows who the up and comers are in the sport vying for pro cards? Who know who is the biggest winner of cash? Who’s the most titled? Who here knows personally an IFBB pro? Or two, or three? How many have competed in a bbing comp? In fact how many bbing comps have you been to this year? Last year? Over the last 5 years? Ever? Who can name the seven mandatory poses for men? Been to a posing coach or class? Understands how to do and plan a diet for cutting or adding muscle? Who can explain how a bbling competition is judged? Who reads Muscular Development, IRONMAN, magazines, hard copies and online month after month? Who gets their news letters? Been to bbing seminars, trainings, workshops with IFBB pros, trainers / coaches and conditioners that have made National placing top winning bbers and pro card winners?
What’s the point of all these questions is….
If you reeeally love competitive bodybuilding and can answer only 5 of these questions, you reeeelly love bbing.
If you can only answer 4 you might love competitive bbing.
If you can only answer 3 you might like competitive bbing.
If you can only answer 2 ……… you don’t know squat about competitive bodybuilding.
If you can only answer only 1 of these questions….. then why are you telling instead of asking about competitive bbling?
I’m sure this is where we get the pre qualifying acronym "IMO" to justify the telling to us why they can "tell" instead of "ask".
OK… I’m not saying I’m better then others because I compete or PLEEEEEZZZZZ don’t tell me "Just because I don’t compete, doesn’t mean I can’t express how I feel or share what I know or think!" Go AHEAD! Express all you want! About lifting, dieting, cardio, belts or no belts, creatine and which one, wrist straps or gloves, which portein is best, bla bla bla… Knock yourself out!
Yet when it comes to the sport of competitive bbing, have some credibility before you open your mouth and give an opinion you know little or nothing about.
Just when you do, make sure you know what you’re talking about and have SOME credibility. Some knowledge of what is going on before you speak.
Ok. I’m tough. Throw the darts and spears! I’m done with this thread. Yep, I’m shootin off my mouth and running. If you want to discuss more about this, PM me.

Wow, now I know where many people are getting so much jacked up advice. If all those so called know-it-alls are shooting from the hip, it is no wonder I feel like I am beating my head against the wall when people approaching me with some really off the wall facts or questions.
Thanks for saying what needed to be said. Even if it fell on deaf ears, others hopefully will learn from your insight.

So true, so needed, even up here we find our selves sometimes listening and reading, whole lot of things we never knew belonged to this sport. I don´t compete…At least not yet, and so far it has been heck of a hard work. So those who are in the real game may be more outspoken, so we the folowers can better hear them, in stead of those **** throwers…

Kudos, supe. Your words apply to BB as well as most other things in life.

Great post Sup! Thank you for the everlasting inspiration and information. When I need info, I snoop around your page…haha. Great to see/know people who value life and health like you do. There are so many around me (and I’m sure you too) who just do not understand why I do what I do. Thanks.

Wow. I couldn’t of said it better myself. I deal with a bunch of sales reps myself, being a manufacturers rep. I cover fifteen states out of my truck and fly often as well, yet I stll get my sessions in. I am so sick and tired of the "juice box" and "grape nuts" remarks because I am the only one that gathers the courage up after dealing with mental stress all day of negetive people in a down economy and go get it in. Just because I do what they could never come close to on my most fatigued day. I must be on something. My answer is who the **** cares other than you. You talk football and other sports and how bad your team is. Brag all the time about players, you fat ****er couldn’t even run a down but your the man in your own eyes. I’m sick of it and it feels absolutely liberating for someone to understand and put it in words. Thank you so much. I am actually working on my first comp for next year right now. I have chosen NPC and just have to pick a show and get down to business. I like what you have to say and I must say that my life changed when a 68 year old bb showed me the way. He was phenominal and you are of the same as he. I’m on the super train now brother.
