What Will Make You Happy in 2009?

For many here….

“If I could just get that six pack! Then I can capture my youth!”

“When I get into that size 6 dress! Then I will be happy!”

“If I could just get rid of my big a$$! Then I could wear jeans again!”

“When I get rid of the beer gut! Then I would be happy again!”

 

For Ol Supe it’s, “When I get that pro card, MAN!!! That will be so great! And I will be satisfied! I will be sooooo happy!”

Ask yourself…. “Will it really make me happy? Will it be worth it? Will I be satisfied? Will it…… ?”

It’s not the prize at the end of the journey that will give us long term happy. Nooooo!!!

It is, what happens on the path of our goal that is important.

Happiness is only going to last if we pay attention to what we learn as we travel on this path of bbing, to our goal.

Happiness won’t last when I leave the stage with my trophy and pro card invitation. O ya! It will feel great for the moment! Euphoric if you will.

Happiness WILL last though, from the thoughts and memories of the accomplishments that happen along our way. The relationships we forged. The encouragement given and received.

Will we always be happy when we reach our goals and recognize what happens along the journey? Well as the old Quaker would say, “The only person that is truly happy all the time, is the village idiot!”

You can’t be happy or content a 100% of the time with your body. Yet you can be most of the time. And you can be happy most of the time when you remember what has brought you to this point.

You will be happy as you ponder the lessons learned. The relationships forged. The knowledge that “YES!!! I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED AND DO WHAT EVER I SET MY MIND TO!

So… This coming year, what will make you happy? Not short term happiness though! Long term happiness.

Mine will be to give more help to those that need my help. I get asked all the time for help in diet and fitness, and in the past, I have tried to NOT make eye contact and keep to myself. I’m not saying that it is bad if you do this, yet it is time for me to give back what I have learned and experience to lift those that are trying to better themselves.

I believe that true happiness comes from giving away what you love most. I LOVE BODYBUILDING! So that is what I will do. Be more a where and give away what I’ve learned and experienced.

What will you do?

    I am reflecting on the words written here - I imagine that I’ll be doing this for quite some time. These are very profound words and a very powerful affirmation of how happiness brings quality to life.

    hello Mr. superman .. i love each word ur writing for us … am sure ur a great person who cares for other and ur a real Body builder coz ur trying to help others and u know what does it mean to help some 1 be better in a game that he loves .. am sorry if my english is not good but thats all i know .. so excuse me old great man :) am gonna tell u a bit about my self .. ive been working out like 1 year and a half and i was fat at the beginning not that fat but a bitt and it was all over my stomach :.. i was 94 kilos and i made a very hard diet whch was only eating watermellon for 3 months not even any thing other than water mellon and working out everyday .. i loosed too much weight and got some good muscles and i became 77 kilos.. now am eating too much protiens but not taking lot of supplements coz its expensive in arab countries .. am now 88 kilos and am looking really good if i take my clothes off …. and am lifiting too much weights honestly ..but still am not in the shape of a real bodybuilder .. i love bodybuilding.. body building is my life! hope u understand what i mean .. my body have all the cuts in good shape but still am not accepting what am on .. i need more .. i need to know how much u think should i take rest in a week .. and things like that .. ill tell some things how i train and since am on this schedule am better not only my body but my brain as u said before :) am training the 1st day chest and biceps .. the 2nd days back and triceps .. than the 3rd day am taking rest .. the 4th day am doing shoulders.. and the 5th day am playing legs ..then taking rest at the 6th day .. and coming back the same .. and working out everyday for abs.. hope u write me back or email me coz id be sure to give it back as a friend if u really helped .. thanks bro :for listening and thankss a lot for what u wrote because it means too much for us :) god bless u
