Monday, August 13th, 2007The countdown is on…..I’m still plugging away at my bf. I just did my first week of 3 days low carb and 4th day Hi carb cycling. I did pretty well, I dropped weight down to 136.5lbs still maintaining about 10.7%bf although I was in the middle of my low carb days so my weight was a little lower than it would have been on my hi day. So I would have to say my weight is around 1-2lbs higher on carb up days plus I may be a little dehydrated too. I am sticking to the low/hi carb days for one more week than its will probably change to fish, fish, and more fish if my bf doesn’t go down anymore.
It’s all a learning process this time competing is completely different than last time. The weather is different from cold to now scorching hot, humid days. So I’m holding onto my h2o than last time. Plus, my cals were so low and my bf was a lot higher 5wks out we increased cals to 1900 and leaned out from there on my last show. Keeping my weight 128lbs and dropping from 15%-8.8% bf in 5 wks. This time I’m hoping I stay tighter longer just for a better tighter look.
I’m using this National Qualifier as a stepping stone to my next comp just 4wks after to kick some serious ASS!! I should be freaking awesome holding my bf so low for a longer period of time. Don’t let me fool you I still want to win this one in September but I am going up against some very stiff and tuff competitors that are seasoned in the industry.
Right now my triceps are getting a little big for the liking per my trainer. So we are keeping a close eye on them. We may have to take out the dips if they get any bigger. I am not even working them (isolated movements).
I am currently doing alot of dips, low incline bench press to bring my chest up a bit. My shoulders are followed with chest front presses, lateral raises to help build them a little more. My back starts out with lat pulldowns wide grip, one arm rows w/db’s, close grip low rows. My legs we are trying to build the hamstrings so I do 5-6sets of ham curls on back day and alternate between field sprints and bleachers.
Cardio has been upped to 3xweek 30min sessions.
Last night was the first night I was hungry before I went to bed. I ended up having 1/2cp ff cottage before bed to help. I was told that is a no, no…..the worst is about to come…..the question is "how bad do I want this"….I’m going to keep diggin in "I WANT THIS!!"
