woo-hoo, i passed the 75 pound milestone! i am shocked to continue the weight loss at such a steady pace. i am now down to 186 lbs, which is one pound less than i was at graduation almost 14 years ago! so much weight lost, but yet so much more work to do. when does it ever end? i am not even close to how i want to look, although i did post some new pics. you see so much more in the pics than you do in the mirror. i will continue to work hard, and will not give up! hope everyone has another successful week next week!

did 45 mins on the stepper this morning. and then after work, did 22 mins on the treadmill and 15 mins on the stepper. and then, the best part of the day, cooked some t-bone steaks on the grill and baked potatoes. mmmm, that was good. then i just sat on the front porch and watched my daughters play. it sure is nice to have a relaxing evening once in awhile. tomorrow will be morning cardio and evening lifting.

its about time we get a warm sunny day in ohio. spent a couple of hours outside with the kids. does smashing pop cans count as cardio? i was sweating while doing it. my daughters wanted to save pop cans for the money you get to recycle them. we are going to disney in january, and they decided to save cans so they can have their own spending money. (they are 8 and 6 1/2 yrs old) i thought it was a great idea, if they wanted to help with the money. the bad thing is, my barn is full of cans from over the winter months. so i spent 1 1/2 hours smashing cans, and didnt even get 1/4 of them smashed! it will take quite a bit of time to get them all smashed! so far, my girls have turned in $104 worth of cans!
after that, i cooked wings on the grill. oh boy, they were good too. yummy. watched the bristol race, pulling for my man gordon. he got third place. but he is leading the points now! woo hoo! also, some guy stopped and asked me if my camaro was for sale. uh,no! this has happened about four times since i got it. my wife thinks it is weird that guys will just stop at the house and ask if it is for sale. i dont think it is weird, i think you never know unless you ask! but the answer is no, it is not for sale. all in all, a good weekend, and glad to see some sun and warmth in ohio!

i managed to drop another 2 pounds this week, for a total loss of 73 pounds. i am now down to 189 lbs. i am very happy with 2 pounds, that is awesome! i am going to need to keep buying new clothes. i am now only 9 lbs from my goal of 180, and 2 pounds more than i graduated at. i was 187 at graduation 13 years ago, and i am excited to be so close to that weight again. i hope everyone else has had a successful week. what a great feeling!

well, thats what the hand held machine says. i think my % is much higher than that. i still have alot of fat in the midsection. aside from that, i have been staying consistent with my cardio and workouts. my diet has been clean. i dont know what more i can do. just keep at it, and never give up. thats the plan.

i am so tired of cold and rainy and cold and snowy! where the hell is spring at? this sucks! the only good thing about it is the fact that you might as well be in the gym working out. no reason to go outside. did my usual cardio routine on saturday and twice today. i made an appointment to get my bodyfat checked at the gym on wednesday. i dont know how much i can trust the way they are going to do it. some kind of electrical impulses while i hold onto these bars? they will enter my height and weight and age, and then i hold these bars, and it comes up with a magic number. i dont know about this. she tells me the best time is first thing in the morning, so you are not full of fluids. so i told her i am there every morning at 5:30 when they open, but she is not there, so we are doing it wednesday at 4 pm. you know, after i have already had 80 ounces of fluid by that time! she says if i dont drink anything for 2 hours prior, it will be ok. so i will not drink anything for 4 hours prior. i will let you know the results. i expect it to be high. i have never had it checked before, so i have nothing to compare it to. have a great week everyone!

on the advice of ntrllftr, i made some minor changes to my diet and cardio routine, and what an amazing weight loss week this was. many thanks to you ntrllftr! i guess you can call that "busting" a plateau! i was in complete awe to see the number on the scale. that makes a total of 71 lbs lost. i still cant believe it. of course, this does not mean i can celebrate and eat all weekend! i will be having some cake for on sunday for my oldest daughters birthday. she is 8 years old today! wow, they sure grow up fast! other than the cake on sunday, i will be sticking to the plan.

pounded out another great cardio session this morning. also had a decent night lifting. 5×5 deadlifts 285, 5×5 rows 60’s, 2×5 lunges 55’s, 2×5 lat pulldowns 200, 2×10 barbell curls 80, 2×10 dumbell curls strict 35’s. had a depressing day at work, so i wasnt much into the lifting tonight. so i was happy with what i got on my lifts. every exercise had more weight than last week. i must admit that i am a little nervous about the weigh-in tomorrow. i hope i see some weight loss. i dont like to be too optimistic, only to be pissed when i didnt lose any weight. i got stiffed last week with no loss, so i have my fingers crossed that the changes i have made will make a difference. good luck to the other contestants in this race to 180!

i had two awesome cardio sessions today. i cant believe i didnt fall over from dehydration. i sweat like a whore in church. it was intense, and felt amazing. if you aint sweating, you aint working hard enough! same as yesterdays cardio, 28 mins on treadmill alternating 4 mph and 6 mph, then 15 mins on stairstepper, climbing 68 stories. did this routine at 5:30am and again at 3:45pm. i have to raise the intensity consistently, week after week to get results. it is all going to be worth it in the end though!

come on mrdawnmarie, i think you are doing a great job, but i am trying hard to catch you! i had another awesome cardio session this morning, so good in fact, that my sweat had beads of sweat on it! mixed fast walking at 4 mph with running at 6 mph for a total of 28 mins, then went to the stairstepper and did 68 stories in 15 mins. that is a record for me! you are setting a strong pace, and i will do what is needed to catch you! also had a good lifting session this evening. 5×5 bench press 170, 5×5 squat 295, 2×5 flyes 45’s, tried 60’s on the seated press, got 1 set of 4 and 1 set of 2, maybe have to go back to the 55’s next week? also did tricep dips, 1 set of 20 and 1 set of 18! all in all, a great workout, although i was a little bummed about not getting the 60’s for 2×5 on the seated press. i used to be able to do them, but then again i weighed 262 lbs then. looking forward to the rest of the week, and especially the friday weigh-in! good luck everybody!
