last 3 days of cardio have been ok, nothing stellar by any means. i am having another one of those weeks where i just dont feel it. this may be a week of no weight loss! dammit! however, lifting tuesday night went well. struggled last week with the bench press for some reason. it felt pretty easy last night! so i guess at least there has been some progress this week. tomorrow night is deads, oh yeahhhh. i love deads.

i did some bodyweight workouts at home again this morning. i just dont have time to go to the gym on sundays. have a weeks worth of laundry to do, and a weeks worth of meals to cook, oh, and i cant miss the nascar race! the bodyweight exercises actually have my legs sore! i did 100 squats, 100 lunges(what a killer), 100 pushups, 100 tricep dips, 100 situps, 100 single leg calf raises. whew, that was enough. and i did it while doing the laundry. might as well kill 2 birds with one stone. now i have to go cook those meals, and then relax for the first time this week, and watch the race. have a good week everyone!

i was friggin starving last night and wanted something sweet, so i gave in for the first time in months, and had a piece of cake and some milk. yeah, it was good, but i felt guilty! i know it wont hurt me, but it still pisses me off that i ate it. oh well, i made sure to hit the gym this morning. lifted for about 20 mins, then did 30 mins on the stairstepper. bye-bye cake! all gone! i shouldnt have that craving for a few months now. i might be in trouble in the summer when we go camping though! nothing better than cooking over the campfire all weekend long! damn, now im making myself hungry again!

i have finally got under 200 lbs., the first time in 10 years! it sure does feel great, but i still have a lot of work to go. i was shocked to see 198 lbs on the scale, and relieved! it sure was giving me a hard time getting under 200, it seemed to be dragging so slowly. that makes my total weight loss 64 lbs! awesome! now that i have that monkey off my back, i can look forward to getting down to 180 lbs. damn, there is always a new goal! good luck to everyone, and have a great weekend!

had a good cardio session both yesterday and today! had an awesome lifting session tonight, used same weights as last week, but it was much easier tonight. i should be able to up the weight on just about every exercise next week! awesome! my only concern is if getting my weight down to 200 is going to happen this week. it is giving me a hard time, and quite frankly, pissing me off! i will find out in the morning, until then, i have my fingers crossed…………….

didnt have time to post blog last night, but you arent missing anything. did the usual cardio yesterday and this morning. however, i did lift this evening, and that went really well. i used the same weights and exercises as last week, because i was so sore from last week! this week, those same weights were easy, so i will definitely be raising the poundage next week! sorry such a short and lousy post, but i am tired, so see ya tomorrow.

i should have taken a day of rest today, but i decided to do a little workout at home. did 50 bodyweight squats, 50 pushups, 50 tricep dips, 50 bodyweight lunges, and 50 situps. i just couldnt sit still and do nothing! also had laundry to get done for the week, and cooked all my meals to take to work. now that everything is done, i can relax and watch nascar!! woo hoo, go 24!

i hit the gym again at 8 this morning. i wanted to do a few exercises that i dont have time to get in during the week. got in db shrugs,3×15 70’s, lat raises front and side,3×10 20’s, db calf raises,3×20 70’s, lat pulldowns with cable machine,3×10, it was difficult doing anything with weights today, as my forearms are very sore and my upper back is still sore! finished the morning off with 40 mins. on the treadmill, raising the incline every minute to peak, and then back down every minute, and i performed this twice. now, grab some lunch, and take the kids sled riding. have a great day everyone!

it is very difficult to manage your anger when you get on the scale and it doesnt show what you were expecting it to show. once again, i have been robbed of my expected results. coming off of what i consider to be 2 lousy weeks of weigh-in results, i had high expectations for this week, considering that i put in more cardio time and at a higher intensity than i had previously. i really wanted to see 200 on the scale, a measly 2 lbs, is that too much to ask for? well, evidently it is, because i only got 1 1/2 lbs. i am now at 200 1/2 lbs. dammit, so close! i am at my wits end here, i dont understand the small progress. it makes a person start questioning the program they are doing. what am i doing wrong? do i need more cardio time? am i eating too much? i just dont know. i am very consistent with my eating, and have been for 6 months. i eat and drink almost identical amounts, all the time! i dont see the problem being there. as i mentioned previously, i have increased the intensity of my cardio, and added slightly more time spent doing cardio. am i just at a plateau? i still have plenty of fat to lose, so its not like i am down to those last 5 lbs! i dont know what to do. it sure is a big disappointment, although i am glad to have lost some weight, it just wasnt what i expected after all the hard work i have put in. so there you have it, 1 1/2 lbs this week. i hope mrdawnmarie had better results than i did. catch ya later.

gym was open today, thank god. did my usual intervals on the treadmill and finished off with the stairstepper. i was very happy that my back wasnt sore from all the shoveling! cardio was all good, lots of sweat and felt great. went to work and got my morning coffee, its always a mad rush for me to get to work and get my coffee! i need it after the cardio. when my boss got to work, he and i went to visit a co-worker who is in the hospital with a compression fracture in his lower back. the guy we went to visit also has a farm, and he was out plowing for all of his neighbors with one of his huge tractors and it slid off the road and rolled down into a frozen creek. this guy is very lucky to be alive. then we went and looked at the tractor and some photos of it while it was upside down on the frozen creek, and the cab is smashed down onto the steering wheel! very lucky man, and my thoughts are with him and his family, and i wish him a speedy recovery. then, after work, it was back to the gym. did 5×5 deadlifts, 255, lunges,2×5 80, lat pulldowns,2×6 180, barbell curls,1×20 and 1×15 65, db curls 2×8 40’s. the best parts were the deadlifts and the curls. my lower arm veins are finally starting to really pop out when i am curling! i love it! well, tomorrow morning is weigh-in, and i am hopeful that i will be at 200, and i am hoping that mrdawnmarie loses some weight also! until tomorrow…………..
