Root canal

Monday, October 27th, 2008

I used to have braces as a child to correct an under bit. The downside was my back molars are pretty beat up. The other day my dentist told me I needed 3 crowns down. 2 in the rather soon future. Today, I went to the root canal specialist and he had to perform just 1 root canal only. Thank god. I’ve heard the horror stories and read all I could. I’ll be honest, it was painless. Only people with nerve problems feel pain during the procedure. The downside to this all, is my workout schedule is taking a beating. It’ll be 2 days before I work out again. Then I switch back to days at work and have to get used to days again. Then throw in crown work over next month. Not sure how great my workouts will be. May need to revamp my ideas about how much I can handle.

Ugh…tough day

Tuesday, October 21st, 2008

Last nigh was rough! I’m working 2nd shift at work which is 7 pm to 7 am. Well needless to say I was dead tired at 5 am wondering how I planned on working out. I took my Super pump 250 drink around 6 30 and hit the gym. I was so mentally not into the gym. However, I completed my entire workout and it was more grueling then my previous ones. 43k lbs is a lot and my rep range was only at half of what my goal is to hit. I think true strength is going into the gym even when you mental and physically don’t feel like working out, busting your ass and walking out with a great workout completed. Anyone second this idea? Well I’m going to try and get some sleep. See how hard my other two workouts are.

Time to Power Up

Monday, October 20th, 2008

Tonight, I sat down and looked at my three workouts respectively. I decided it was time to tweak them. I recently finished an 11 day in a row workout span. Took three days off to heal and re group myself. Work plus working out was becoming a mental strain. Just needed time to myself. Now, It’s time to go back and I want to grow more then I was before. I moved exercises from one workout to another. Even added exercises on two days instead of just one. Then I added clean and press, deadlifts and shoulder shrugs to the mix. To produce more testosterone on chest and back day, I added a light weight squat set to the begining of the workout to boost my levels. Hopefully this will allow me to see some better gains strength and size wise. Still attempting to do 3 set of 20 reps per exercise. It may sound absurd, but I want real world strength that will last more then 30 seconds. I’ll post my workouts in my tracker. It anyone wants to see them of try them PM me and I’ll send you a copy. I have a few people you can ask to see if they like the workouts onĀ  bb.com since I gave it to them a month ago or so.
