Reality about work out partners

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

I’ve come to realize certain things about working out alone or with a partner. If you can’t do the weight alone. Then why the hell do you need a workout partner? Is he going to lift the weight for you. Is true strength being able to lift a certain weight by yourself better then a person who lifts the same weight with a spotter. Does that give a false sense of hope? Example, your about to get into a fight with a person. Would you rather know you could kick this person’s ass or know that your partner could kick his ass? I would prefer to feel, I can kick that persons ass myself and not need anyone to help me.

Work out partner??

Friday, August 22nd, 2008

I brought two guys from work with me to the gym today. I"m happy I motivated two people to come work out. However, they slowed down my workout by like 15 mintues and they quit on me. We did the first superset of 4 exersises. They turn to me and say , " well that was a good work out. When do we do it next?" I looked at them and laughed. I was like we still have 3 more super sets to perform. Like 12 more exercises three times a piece. They looked stunned I worked out that hard. 10 minutes later they both quit. I believe I’ll motivate people but train by myself. Its a better pump and concentration of my time.

Cardio workout. New!

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008

I’ve been seeing results working out. ie. lifting weights and eating healthy. I know the body fat is shrink and muscle is taking its place bit by bit. The weight is still the same. Today, I decided I was going to add one day of cardio to my 2 day workout. So essentially, I’m doing a 3 day workout plan. I lasted an hour today going at 80 percent max heart rate. ( This number is arbitrary to age on a scale. Mainly, I went from jumping rope, to cross country skiers with a twist, elliptical, treadmill, jumping jacks, jogging, stationary bike, punching bag, standing punching and crunches. I managed to stay active the entire time and never once stopped for more then a minute. I started with 3 layers of clothes and by the end was down to one. I layed on the floor to stretch and didnt just make an imprint of moisture but a imprint of sweat. Proud I managed to go so long so hard. Hoping this cardio will increase how fast changes are seen physically. Leave me thoughts.
